If you forget to ask for the Multiplier or Powerplay on a ticket do you still buy that one?
Hi everyone, Just curious if you are buying a MM or PB ticket and you forgot to say you wanted it with the Multiplier or Powerplay do you still buy the ticket that was just printed out? If you buy that mistake ticket do you ever take those same numbers and play again using the Multiplier or Powerplay option. Last night at a gas station I made the mistake of not saying MM with Multiplier but still bought the mistake ticket. When I left I was wondering if I should have just bought another ticke

Texas Joins Mega Million with Megaplier
The whole reason TX is starting MM with a multiplier is because of the research that came out regarding PB and PP. If a state begins a jackpot game and then later adds on an extra multiplier, customers think of the game as a $1 game with an option. However, if, as in SC, the jackpot game begins WITH the multiplier in place, customers automatically think of it as a $2 game. TX knows that by starting with multiplier, their take will be larger than if it added it later. It's all about the $$$$.

what would u do if u win the mega million tonight
I won't have to worry about winning tonight's jackpot any more. I spent $11 and got $10 back. I bought 5 tickets with multiplier, and 1 without. I made $8 on 4x multiplier gold ball, and $2 on non-multiplier gold ball. Had I played multiplier on both tickets, it would have been $16, and I would have made $5 instead of losing $1. I will always use the multiplier from now on. Even on a small win, it can at least make your money back. Sad to say this is the best I have done on this game, but it rai

Powerball is kicking it up-10 millionaires were made tonight!!.
I got 3 powerballs with powerplay, which paid me $24.00 because of the 2x multiplier. Boy, I hate 2x multiplier because it sucks. Multipliers should start from 3x upwards to possibly 10x. Did I tell you 2X multiplier sucks?. Yes it does.

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
I set up a quick little simulation to illustrate what I'm talking in regards to the multiplier. The green represents a distribution and the aqua/teal represents the simulated result. So for the top green (under the letters), each letter has the probability distribution outlined in the 'E' and 'R' columns (below). Then, the Letter Drawn distribution is simply 1 of 5, where each letter drawn by the lottery is expected to show up 20% of the time. I then reverse back through that logic process to ma
