New Mexico Lottery was advertising the wrong Pick 4 payouts and odds
A heads-up for all New Mexico Lottery players: I have been contacted by the New Mexico Lottery, telling us that the payout amount and odds we have been showing on our Pick 4 payouts pages is wrong for that game. They provided a link to their Pick 4 information page, and indeed it shows only $1 for a payout (instead of $28 that we have been publishing) and odds of 1 in 51 instead of 1 in 50 that we have been publishing. I'm just curious as to why the same link was permitted in Shawnintennessee's public post on the forum and deleted from a private message of mine via the censor.Doesn't make sense. But a word of warning about that site. They use pop-up ads even if you're a member. I use AOL pop-up controls and used to have to log on twice to get to the site. Jeff 12 million is chicken feed where advertising is concerned. Lotteries typically sell more scratch offs then pick 3 and 4's. Reason for more scratch offs sold than tickets sales. It's just easier to ask for a scratch off then to ask for a pick 3 or 4 you don't have to fill out a play slip. We should have alot of players---its been around for 15 years! If no one is playing why is the Lottery spending 10 million a year on advertising. How do officials keep their jobs if no one is playing? Shouldnt they being doing something about it? I have enough losing tickets to stuff everyone's turkeys on Thanksgiving. Never a win.
