$2 PB Jackpots Now Rising More Slowly Than $1 PB Jackpots Did.
In THEORY, the cash value for Powerball would have been $115 million for last night's draw, but in REALITY, it probably was only the $107 million they advertised (the drop in annuity was probably because of falling interest rates), because PB has had to raid their jackpot fund to pay larger than expected payouts for their cash prizes. Mega Millions is probably doing the same thing with their jackpots now too, because their pot increased by only the minimum $2 million annuity ($1 million cash), e

Mega Millions $241mil Cash or Annuity
If you're the lucky winner of the $241mil Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday which payout would you take? With the amount of cash that the Annuity would payout every year makes this kind of a tough decision for me.. which would you choose.

Powerball at $2.00 - If play, how mouch have you won?
I start spending my $2 when the jackpot gets to $100 millions annuity. When the starting jackpot was $20 millions annuity I used to start playing it at $40 millions annuity, that's the reason they increased the ticket price to $2 and the starting jackpot. They did not want players like me to get a free ride.I still get the free ride by starting to play at $100 millions annuity. I have won $4 twice, but I am playing for the jackpot or a second prize.

Question about the "Cash" or "Annuity" Option
I noticed on the redesigned New Jersey lottery web-site that they are no longer posting the amount for the Cash option and the Annuity for the Pick-6 lotto, Megamillions or Powerball. They are only posting the Annuity amounts. I hope they decide to put the information back once they are finished with the web-site. But anyway, that's kind of an aside from my question... Is it true that if you select Annuity on a bet slip for Powerball and Megamillions, that you can change your mind if you win

How will you take your Powerball or Mega Millions winnings; annuity or cash? Is there any way to tell how past winners took their winnings?

powerball roll
I'm seeing a big check with $120,000,000, so I assume it's the annuity.

Except for the 14 million dollar difference in the cash value, MM and PB are almost equivalent.
It's not false advertising. What a lot of people seem to realize is that the jackpot prize itself is an annuity. Meaning the prize itself is payed over some number of payments in some number of years. It's that annuity amount that is advertised. Look at the advertised Powerball and Mega Millions amounts - annuities. Look at the advertised state lottos - annuities. Annuities are not something new. They've been around for a long time. So when someone plays a jackpot game, it's their responsibil
