I buy $10 tickets maybe once a week. I usually win on them. (Most I've won is $40). If we had $20 tickets I would play if the odds were good and if the top prize was good. For TN we have enough players they could go to $2 million annuity or $1 million in a $20 ticket. They could go $500,000 on a $10 ticket.Note: There is a $5 ticket here with a min top prize of $1 million. It's annuity though. Win for Life. You get $52,000 a year for the rest of your life.

Scratch tickets actually have the highest payback % of lottery games (not counting video lottery, etc.) Just make sure you avoid ANNUITY-ONLY scratches (still a big problem in NY and Massachusetts).
