New Jersey Lottery making several changes to Pick 6 draw game
What is overlooked in the new Pick 6 changes is the possibly negative feature of this change by the New Jersey Lottery that will actually DECEASE individual prizes for almost all winners except for the jackpot. That's because the New Jersey lottery pays out on a pari-mutual system where the money in the pot is divided by all the winners. Pick 6 previously had the multiplier as an optional purchase for an additional $1, which many players declined to do. So for example, according to a November NJ

Florida's Accursed New Game CASH POP
Technically, Cash Pop is the easiest draw game of all time. All you have to do is pick 1 number from 1-15 and get a predetermined Multiplier. I myself wondered when the Lottery would come out with a one number game, and Cash Pop is it! Has anyone chosen all 15 numbers in one drawing? You will be guaranteed a Winner, but depending on the Multiplier, you could lose $10 or get a $10 profit. For example, I had played 1 for $1 on Thursday and got a Multiplier of $25 or 25 times. If I had pla

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Agreed! That $10 Multiplier ticket can have good wins, sometimes pay off better than the $20 Multiplier. I found a $100 winner from a $10 Flamingo Multiplier the other day. It was a single number match too. Still, how cool would it be to win a big $1000+ prize on a $5-$10 ticket? After meeting that guy who hit $10k on the $5 Flamingo Multiplier ticket, I think I might start playing the smaller tickets again.

Problem w/Ga. Keno w/Bulls-eye and Multiplier
Can some one explain this to me. Ex. You play a 5 spot for 3 draws. You choose both multiplier and bulls-eye option. You get the bulls eye # in two of your draws, that's automatically $5 for each draw. So my winnings should be $10, right? I only got $5 so the receipt says. Also with the multiplier shouldn't I have won $20. Someone please help and explain this to me. I kept receipt from lottery terminal. Thanks.

The regret of not buying the megaplier..
Somehow, I think the preveiling thought when you hit the second prize would to be to get upset that you didn't hit the jackpot, there was just one more number, rather then being upset that you didn't get multiplier. Also, if you are getting QP, the machine might be producing different numbers for those with multiplier and not, since you don't know the algorithm of its randomness. When I get multiplier and don't win (and I never won anything with multiplier) I get upset that I dind't b

PowerBall and the 10x PowerPlay promotion
For several years, PowerBall has had a promotion where 1 slot on the wheel that selected the PowerPlay multiplier was replaced by a 10x multiplier, and all prizes were increased accordingly if the 10x was chosen for a given draw. In the past, this has always happened in March or April (at least according to the Wikipedia article on PowerBall). March has gone, and April has started, yet I've heard no promotion of the 10x multiplier. Does anyone know if there are plans to do this in 2009? I kno

Idea for Florida Lotto.
No, I wouldn't buy it. The best I could do is to increase a $5k winner to around $20k. That's not a life-changing increase, therefore to me it's not worth the extra money I'd have to lay out each week. However, I DO buy the multiplier for Powerball, because a match 5 means the difference between $200k and $400k or even more. The difference between even just the 2 multiplier amount is life-changing (you could actually buy a house here with the $400k after taxes, you can't buy one for the $2

Super Powerplay
This is not about the current Powerball promotion. This is an idea for a modification for Powerball. We presently have the extra dollar for the Powerplay option. Here's an idea for another layer to that. For an extra dollar on top of that (total $3 per play), you get a chance to play Super Powerplay. The concept is the multiplier would be 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x. The catch is that once the multiplier is drawn, it is removed until the 10x is drawn. This multiplier would be instead of the standard Pow

Should we feel stupid playing the lotto?
Interesting implications to all that.Back earlier this year, and once in the late '90s when I felt a lot of confidence in a particular set of numbers I used to buy 10-20 tickets with the same number on them, with the multiplier. My figuring was that if the red ball hit the multiplier would at least get me my money back with a good return, and if it did better it could foil the paramutual downside of jackpots and the higher bonus prizes.I had a partner working with me on the thing in the '90s..

Mega Millions Considers Multiplier
In the wake of Texas' choice to join the Mega Millions, the multi-state lottery game may be enhanced to include a multiplier option similar to the Powerball Power Play feature. The multiplier option is among the points to be negotiated before Texas officially becomes a Mega Millions member state. Powerball players can pay an extra $1 and if they win a lower-tiered prize, their winnings can be multiplied by up to five times. Rebecca Paul, a leader in the Mega Millions organization, indicated tha
