Five Weeks Till MegaMillions Changes
That's the matrix to win 1 million, right? What are the odds that the 5x multiplier also comes up? I haven't heard how many balls of each possible multiplier will be included in the draw. Heck, I haven't even heard if there will be multiplier balls, or if you automatically win 5 mil if you buy the megaplier?

New Powerball payout table
Also since Powerball/PowerPlay is using a fixed multiplier I assume they are no longer drawing the multiplier with each draw. Does that mean they got rid of the 10x multiplier promotion?. I always played more during the 10x promotion when they had it. Jimmy

Anyone else thinking of Euromillions?
Actually that .36 multiplier is for figuring the approximate after tax take home cash in Michigan if you don't live in a Mich city that collects income tax.I have measured that multiplier and it has been as high as .384 depending on interest rates. Now it is somewhere in the .34 to .36 range. That is calculated by going to the official Ohio lottery web sight and multiplying the guestimated cash amount by the .611 take home percent. The .611 is reached by taking the max fed rate of .35 and add

Sign the Megaplier Petition
gosh Todd I'm not complaining I'm for it signed yesterday but no matter what the cause you have to investigate every angle. What if, why not, suppose this happened. A few weeks ago 23 people had 5 white balls I think if my memory serves me and it gets worse with age. And the jackpot was only 10 mil they would have to pay out 16,100,000 million for a multiplier of 4 not to include the lesser prizes. Grant it they have probably have the funds. But if it happened 2 or three times in a few months it

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
IMPORTANT CORRECTION* False alarm about free multiplier. It is included on every ticket but only applies if you purchase the Power Up option. TECHNICALLY NOT FREE. In other words, this add-on allows you to win using the multiplier in both the base drawing and the secondary one. Should have known it was too good to be true! I blame my fast fingers and the fact that they separated the rule documents for whatever reason. In the base document it says the multiplier is included with no mention

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
I think there are a few threads about this and I recall posting back in April or so when I first found out that a matrix change was coming to Powerball. Well, I finally got the details. Yes, folks, a change is real and it is coming and it is ugly. Get ready to scream. Main points: Tickets are staying $2.00 5/66 + 1/32 matrix (yes, 1 in 285,981,696) Multiplier from 2X to 10X NO extra cost* for multiplier Overall odds of 1 in 30 I say worse because I did not expect them to take the jac

$1.4 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
My 'little' pet peeve with Powerball is the rule that after $150 million, the Powerplay of 10X goes away. It seems like it only comes in twice/year and as most folks here that play that can attest usually it is just 2X. Now grumpy grouper wonders why they don't mirror Mega Millions with their multiplier so you could potentially win $5 million whereas Powerball stays @ $2 million regardless of the multiplier!

New York man claims state's biggest Mega Millions prize at $476 million
Some people play the multiplier because if they don't win the jackpot but win any of the smaller prizes it will be multiplied. The multiplier is strictly for the smaller prizes, which is a chance to multiple the prize up to 5X. It has nothing to do with the jackpot prize

New York man claims state's biggest Mega Millions prize at $476 million
His multiplier option play makes no sense. If you have a fixed amount to spend on the lotto, it makes sense to play without a multiplier when the jackpot gets above a certain amount (somewhere in the $200-300 million range as I recall).

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Curious why you do not pay for the multiplier? I would kick myself forever if I hit 2nd place without the multiplier. Lol
