Lottery is unfair
hahaha you hit it squarely on the head. What he should have done is propose a national raffle such as el gordo instead of starting a thread that makes no sense.

El Gordo now available - Drawing Dec. 22
Just so everyone is aware, the cutoff date for this lottery using the El Gordo ticket service is Dec. 21, so there's not much time left. If you're going to go for it, then you probably shouldn't wait anymore. It's possible they'll run out of ticket inventory before then.

Ohio Raffle
If you don't feel lucky when you only play one line then I am like you. I know that I only need one line but when I buy one line I am left with this nagging feeling that I need to do more\buy more lines. It is for this reason that I am not a fan of raffles even though I did buy 2 tickets of the ultimate raffle. The El Gordo.

hi, i thinking about playing in this site (thelotter), in el gordo christmas, but i have some doubts, with one share (45.25), can i win the first prize? and if i can, is alone or divided with a group? i saw that the odds is 1 to 100.000, if i buy two shares of diferent tickets, it mean that i have 1 to 50.000 odds now?

POLL - State Raffles
Oh shoot. I forgot I bought raffle tickets for El Gordo. Too late to change the poll answer I gave which was a No; I do not intend to purchase raffle tickets.

El Gordo now available - Drawing Dec. 22
Of course there is a markup. There is always a markup on El Gordo, because it is a much more intensive job for a service to handle.
But I think you'll find that the service I linked to is actually a lower price than competing services, many of which are pretty shady and don't offer features like the ability to buy specific numbers in advance. And it's a lot cheaper than buying a plane ticket to Spain.
As I said before in this thread, the lower-tier prizes can be a bit complex, but one of t

Thanks for taking the time to write with your suggestion. i had a chance this afternoon to talk it over with our president and CEO Arch Gleason. Arch was a two-term president of the World Lottery Association, so I knew he'd be familiar with the game (and I'd heard about it in passing as well).
He agreed with your assessment that El Gordo is a fantastic game. In fact, a group that's been working for a y

Spanish Christmas lottery pays out billions
El Gordo-type lottery makes more sense. To most people out there, even $100,000 will make a huge difference in their lives. Even better, it will change many people's lives. I'd rather see 1000 $100,000 winners than 1 $100,000,000 winner.
