Would Mega Millions honor this payment?
If you hit the 5 WB numbers on 500 plays and added the 4x multiplier to all of them, would they honor the 500 million dollar payment? I guess my question is, is there a limit to how much they'll pay someone on a non-jackpot win? A crazy what-if scenario: what if someone were to hit the 5 WB numbers on 1000 plays, all with the 4x multiplier. They'd have to dish out 1 billion to a non-jackpot winner, right?

I also agree that it was unfair that PB raised their price to 2 dollars but unfortunately I'm a sucker and still play one ticket per game with powerplay. It's interesting your theory about making more sense to buy the multiplier if the jackpot is low but not if it's over 100 million. The reason I buy the multiplier is because if I ever got 5 numbers would rather get 1million over 250k on MM so it doesn't really matter to me how much the jackpot is since I would be thrilled to even win 2nd prize

Just letting you know for future reference, the multiplier is irrelevant when it comes to the second-tier, 5-0 prize. If you played Powerplay back then, it would have made it $1,000,000 automatically. Same goes for the Megaplier. Today, the $3 total powerplay single ticket jumps up to $2M regardless of the drawn multiplier. Still, I wouldn't complain about $200,000 whatsoever. Hope you're enjoying that money.

hey all, noticed the multiplier rip off too, I used to play the pb alot too, no longer-one or 2 tickets a draw for me that's it...it was a bit of a let down, to see no more multiplier-as someone earlier pointed out eight dollars isn't much more than 4, but it was exciting when the mulitplier times 5 came up even if all you had was the powerball match..

In PA, it really depends on the game. Mega Multiplier, Money Money Money, and Winner Take All have done lousy at the end of the roll. Or maybe Mega Multiplier just isn't a very good game.

I have played #14 on Mega Multiplier and Cash Fever enough to safely say it is a very unlucky number right now. Lost yet again on #014 Mega Multiplier. Bad days today and yesterday. Perhaps I should just go slow until the new tickets at the end of Feb. The February tickets aren't worth it at all in my experience - worst I've ever seen.

I'm getting use to the different structures of the PB and MM games, not only do they have different cut-off times for playing but one has a multiplier and the other doesn't at least here in Ohio. PB only has a 140 drawings under its present matrix and MM has 510. Since PB have fewer bonus numbers, playing less lines and opting to pay extra for the multiplier makes sense.
