Biggest Hit
Since I started playing the NY lottery a little over a year ago, my biggest hit was $500 on a $10 scratch game here about six months ago. Two weeks later I won another $500 on the same game. My next biggest win was $200 on the Win4 daily game. I wagered 50 cents on a number that had 2 identical digits. I played it as a box. The real irony of the story is that the number was drawn in the exact order that I played it. I would have won $5,000 if I played it straight for $1 or $2,500 if I played it

Any tips on scratch offs
Quote: Originally posted by addicted on September 01, 2004Do what the sales people do, watch what instant games most people are playing, then if there isn't a big winner in the last 15-20 tickets purchased your odds are good that there will soon be a big hit. People who work in the store where I purchase my tickets told me they have done this many times with considerable luck.Yep they do that and many of

N.H. Lottery delays online game amid controversy
The state Lottery Commission has pulled back its planned July 1 launch of new games that add an Internet element to scratch ticket gambling. In an announcement late yesterday, the commission said it will push back the soft launch of PlayNowNH.com, and use the time to educate state leaders about its new interactive game. The commission ran into stiff headwinds among lawmakers last week when it posted advance notice on its website of the PlayNowNH suite of games. The Legislature rejected ex

Losing faith in lottery, dismayed at what I'm seeing in America
i couldn't figure out if I wanted to post in scratch games or here. But lately I've mainly been playing scratch games, but before I stuck to random numbers. Don't mean to discourage anyone else from playing, but in my case I've been playing hard for 8 months now and still no win over $40. I look at the trends in random number games, I look at the odds and prizes claimed on scratch offs and remaining left. I have even been buying 2-5 $5 scratchers in one batch, and up to 10 $1 scratchers in a

New to Lotto - Spending Birthday Money $100
If you are dead set on playing scratch offs i would first go to your home state lottery web site http://www.txlottery.org/export/sites/default/Games/Scratch_Offs/index.html_574687813.html and check out all the scratch games. i would be looking at the top tier prizes that are remaining. I would make a list of those scratch games. Then i would scope out the stores that sell them checking the numbers on the ticket book like in the right lower hand corner there is a number this number cor

When you are in a slump/losing streak how do you change things up?
I'm not sure I agree with your statement of with Scratch games you win more often with a higher percentage. Well, I'm sorry but you have to agree. These are matters of undeniable fact. I comes from the game odds and prize structure of the various games. I think part of your problem is that you don't know what kind of results you are supposed to be getting, and are not measuring what you are getting, so you can't accurately evaluate how well or poorly you are doing. An important part of gettin

IL Lottery Complaint from Scratcher & IL LotteryMan Returns!
Hey guys and gals, I'm back. I started playing some scratch tickets and only play Mega or Powerball now if it's over $150 million or around there and more. Glad to be back with the group. If you check out the IL Lottery's FB page today, someone was complaining that he bought 4 of the $20 Gold Bullion tickets in a row numbers 000, 001, 002, and 003 and he didn't win anything and was very upset. The IL Lottery replied and they told him basically too not play that much because the lottery, is

Would the lottery get upset if we post pictures of TOP PRIZE scratch off tickets?
I think only Texas has the min payout per book. I disagree. Texas is just a lot more forthcoming with disclosure about it's scratch games. They are the only one I've seen actually publishing a minimum pack value on their website. But that doesn't mean that other states don't also have a minimum pack value just because they don't publish it. There are lots of states that have varying degrees of disclosure about prize tier updates, etc. These scratch games are made by just a couple of

Powerball multi-state lottery to raise prices, jackpots
By Todd Northrop, with AP wire sources Powerball lottery organizers are betting that bigger jackpots will entice more people to play, but gamblers are going to have to dig deeper into their wallets to try their luck. Game changes that have been in the works for months perhaps years are finally going into effect this month. (See Changes coming to Powerball multi-state lottery game in January, Lottery Post, Jun. 27, 2011.) Tickets for the multi-state game are doubling in price to $2 be

Nebraska Lottery marks 30th Anniversary with first $30 scratch-off game
Unfortunately Nebraska does not have the population to support big ticket scratch games. Once the students go home, all you have left are cows and vast grasslands. They should have made the jackpot at least $1m. I hope this ticket sells well for them. They should have made it 30 first prizes of $300,000.00 each.
