NY subscription winner a LOSER
tg: No lottery winner should EVER be forced to receive annuity payments. MA doesn't fully respect the rights of lottery players. To me, annuity-only lottery prizes reek of (possible) corruption. I suppose if MA had their way, Mega Millions winners in MA would have to receive annuity payments also. MA also has many annuity-only scratch games. Here in NY there are about a half dozen annuity-only scratch games. When did those people win their annuities? Perhaps the reason why they didn't co

COAL in his stocking! ;)
My vote for this year's Christmastime Bad Role Model of a Lottery Player is the 30-year-old upstate NY man who was introduced to the media yesterday. When he bought his ticket, he chose 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS . He is _prohibited_ from changing his mind. Therefore, his next 26 Christmases (starting tomorrow) will feature coal in his stocking! I also vote to have the NY Lottery employees (who make the rules for its scratch games) receive coal in THEIR stockings tomorrow. All NY scratch games since

Post your scratch ticket results
So since I've hit the 1K on PA's match six, I haven't won diddly squat playing both number games and instant tickets. I'd say I have to have played at least $30 worth worth of number games and probably about $50 worth (maybe as much as $70 worth) of losing scratch offs. I think out of the $70 in scratch offs, I had one winning ticket which was a monopoly worth $5. I think I'm going to continue playing the scratch games semi casually, maybe $10 to $20 a week for a few more

$257 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot expands
So, you're an advocate for clerks playing Scratch games? This is no laughing matter. While you yourself may not be doing it or employing these techniques, a clerk can have an unfair advantage over regular customers playing scratch games: - a clerk can watch the players, looking for a long losing streaks, and then pounce in like a hawk to look for winners. - a clerk can monitor the redemptions on the pack, knowing the amount of low-tier prizes that have been paid out and the likelihood o

hi everyone ... wow i was suprised to see replies. i waited for a day or so and never got an email notify of replies so i assumed it sank. great to read all of your comments ... i have been chewing through some Giant Jumbo's .... and oddly, my streak of luck ended about as quickly as it started. The smell of money: Scented lottery tickets unveiled in Colorado
Your trash can might enjoy the new game from the state lottery more than your wallet. The Colorado Lottery unveiled its first scented scratch game today, the latest in a marketing strategy for gaming more reliant on gimmicks than payouts. In May, there was Pac-Man. Now there will be coffee, chocolate and bouquet scented tickets. But will patrons care how their ticket smells? Erika Gonzalez, spokeswoman for the Colorado Lottery, thinks people will bite, especially women. With scra

New - Curious... and there has got to be a better way...
Well I have been studying it...and it kinda seems like a version I am doing...but it is EXTREMELY METHODICAL and TEDIOUS. I honestly don't enjoy working on it as much as I do my own home grown version. I do agree with you Fitzroy 4 out of 6 might only be 1000 dollars and that's good but I don't expect that as the big win. Now 5 out of 6 on a big jackpot would be really great. I am not a paying member here yet...but there is A TREMENDOUS ARTICLE IN WIRED MAGAZINE ABOUT LOTTERY games

Lottery scratch games still being sold after jackpots are gone
Feeling lucky today? Then don't buy a $20 scratch-off ticket for the New Jersey Lottery's $1,000,000 Explosion game. Your chances of winning the $1 million top prize are Z-E-R-O. The six top prizes were awarded months ago, but the $20 tickets are still on sale. The best prize available today is $10,000. State lotteries are coming under renewed criticism for selling scratch-off tickets after the top prizes have been given away. The latest challenge comes from a professor who says

Illinois scratch games are/was managed by a private company than has been accused of ending games when there are still lots of prizes to win. You might want to read up on the situation to see if you have a fair chance to win.
