GOP chief criticizes lottery pay
The chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party Tuesday criticized excessive salaries paid by the Tennessee Lottery Corp., money she said should go to education when the lottery starts next year. We are receiving a lot of feedback from Tennesseans across the state that are deeply disturbed by these huge salaries being given out before the first lottery ticket is sold, GOP Chairman Beth Harwell said in an E-mail message to Tennessee Republicans Tuesday. I am also concerned with the 'unspecified

Amendment 9 would do what many thought was already done
If Louisiana voters ratify Amendment 9 on the Oct. 4 ballot, they will impose a dedication they thought already was done, according to state Rep. Rick Farrar. The proposed change to the state Constitution would dedicate all but $500,000 of the annual revenues from the state lottery to public education. our chances are NIL
Hello Harley boy,You know or should know, that bragging about your linguistics ability is rather below your station in life as well as the assets self made or otherwise, is not a prudent way to make an impression on our group of people. Granted some pleasure is felt by having a good education wether from the streets or in a prime school of learning or both. Flaunting what you are and dangling this information is a bit belittling, don't you think? Many of my collegues including myself on this prog

At 6 a.m. in Raleigh, State Board of Education Chairman Howard Lee will buy the ceremonial first ticket of the N.C. Education Lottery. Coronavirus impacting North Carolina lottery sales
The North Carolina Education Lottery has increased sales which climbed to $2.6 billion in 2018, according to the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries every year since it was established in 2005. A global health crisis could change that. As the number of coronavirus cases continues to climb across North Carolina and Gov. Roy Cooper weighs extending a statewide stay-at-home order, the lottery is experiencing a marked decrease in players. That's in part by design, o

CALottery changing up SLP?
Increase funding for education? LOL!!! For years the State education budget has decreased by whatever amount they get from the lottery so there is no net gain for education in Ca from the lottery. I used to buy a $5 QP for each draw. Now I buy a $1 QP so that's $416/year they lost from me.

NC Lottery tries persuading lawmakers to expand games
It's amazing how NCEL will trying to instigate ways to beat people out of more money YET, make excuses for education . I am not fond of this at all. I have just about quit playing . They need to be this vigilant about helping TEACHERS get and keep jobs and funding EDUCATION as the games title expresses. NCEL = NORTH CAROLINA EDUCATION LOTTERY

Arizona AG begins investigation of former Lottery director
Lol.....to funny. This is all a ruse to distract people on what was going on for real. How the State borrowed money from a State run Lottery to fund education yet the lottery already gives money for education aka goes to a board appointed by who ever to see where the money goes aka not to education. The Truth is in the fact that it's way under funded and teachers refuse to work here for such a low pay here in Arizona. Pockets are being filled and someone threatened to let the cat out the bag....

Illinois Lottery not paying big winners because state legislature won't pass budget
Sadly, a separate budget is not the norm now days as many states just want more and more and more to fund their pet projects in the general fund. Even more sad is the NCEL - North Carolina Education Fund which has been raided MANY years by the Governor, his Minions and getting worse by the day. I plan to start a petition (very soon) in NC that will ask for many changes to the blatant lottery misnomers (insert another word) in addition to the following as by mid September ALL teachers aid will be
