Ohio New Year Raffle
In December the Ohio Lottery Commission ran radio ads for the New Years raffle touting that the listeners might not want to tell anyone about the raffle as ones odds would improve with fewer people and that the raffle would be held January 2nd, the ad mentions no chance of delay or possible date extension for ticket sales. How is this not a case of bait and switch?

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
If sales are coming in way below projections, they might discount them by a dollar or two. However, the PA Lottery has only ever done that once many years ago when they expanded the raffle from 500,000 to 625,000 tickets - they sold them out, barely. They went back to 500,000. Most likely, as Chris$ points out, they'll sell out in time. However, it does seem the sales are running a bit slower than I recall in past years. PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
Agreed. I've observed a similar situation with Connecticut's SuperDraw raffle. It's held twice per year, (New Year's Day and The 4th of July) tickets cost $10, with a maximum of 275,000 to be sold, and the top prize is one million dollars for one winner. It seems that ticket sales are slow when they first go on sale (in October) but they take off starting around Xmas Eve. I'm told sales are brisk during the New Years Eve week. By 12/31 they usually sell out.

WA state Special Olympics $5 million home raffle on now..
Well folks,
I am letting you know about this raffle and I am a previous WA Special Olympics raffle 1st prize lottery winner back in 2003.. So this one is pretty sick and the tickets are $150 a pop... Here is the info and i can't post the link without Todd's permission.. See below info..
