Lottery Pools - Your Thoughts??
Quote: Originally posted by Lottery_Analyst on November 21, 2003 I am considering starting a part time business to establish pools for small groups of people that would like to play together. For example, I would set up a pool for 5 people to play Mega Millions. Each person would contribute $5.00 and 90% of the pot would go to buying tickets and 10% for administration. So for $5.00, each person would have 22 tickets played for them and would be entitled to 1/5 of any of the winnings. This is on

how about a spam forum - or a com.
dvdiva,If there's some spam on this forum that I've missed, please let me know. 20-year-old Florida man claims $451M Mega Millions jackpot
I agree with you. Advertising your wealth over and over in any public manner is asking for trouble. And you can do a private setting on facebook. Most, if not all advisors would have suggested he stop the public posts. There is a huge difference between saying I am 20 and I am not going to hide vs thinking a little more long term about the pros and cons of advertising his wealth.

Yikes! Cash Amounts Again!
I doubt that they consider it a risk. They have the option of advertising smaller jackpots that can be paid for with ticket sales and selling fewer tickets, or advertising bigger jackpots that won't be fully funded and selling more tickets. I'm pretty sure they've chosen the option that they think results in the bigger long-term profit.
