I've been looking for a new method on how to pick numbers for Take5. So I did a search on the web, and I found an article that I'm sure isnt new news , but it offered a suggestion of how to pick numbers that I havent tried before. I'll try anything once, so I did a little analysis on my Take5 spreadsheet, as was suggested by the article I read. Of course, I'd always be open to guest articles. The issue traditionally is that nearly every person who wants to write a guest article only wants to do it to promote their own business. Well now I at least know where it is! Lol I just saw an article that stated the winner of the 8/19 jackpot came forward. He took the one-time payment which was $1,368,554.50. That ticket was sold in Jacksonville.

The Grapevine has it that the next issue of Lotto Stats is going to have an article that will attempt to explain why we've seen so many duplicate combo's of Take5 winning numbers drawn not only in New York, but in eight other states with 5/39 games too. G5

I posted about the Great T5 Mystery in another forum here at The LP and got the following response; It's known as the birthday paradox . If you have a group of just 23 people, it's more likely than not that two of them will share a birthday. The reason is that you have to consider the number of pairs of people, not just the number of people. For the same reason, in a set of 894 drawings for a 5/39 matrix, it's more likely than not that two of them will have the same numbers. So I Goog
