Improved odds of a 5W Powerball win, or coincidence?
I've discovered a relationship in the Powerball draws which improves the odds of a 5 white ball hit by a factor of 35.7. 69 choose 5 = 11,238,513, so the odds of a 5W hit are 1 in 11,238,513, assuming the balls are equally likely to be picked. The relationship in past draws reduces the odds to 1 in 314,432 Still a long shot, but much improved. Standard statistical analysis will not sift out this 5W signal. I discovered it with exhaustive search. Could this relationship just b

Odds Question
If a game has odds of 1 in 4.72, and you lose 20 times in a row, would the equation be: (1/4.72)^20= Answer: 3.3201678e-14 ? Also, if the odds remain the same, how would you set up two 20 loss in a row streaks having played 240 total times? Regards

Craps odds challenge
If I am reading the question right, you are asking what are the odds of rolling the dice to get a combined total of 6. With 2 six sided dice there are 5 combos that total 6. (1+5, 2+4, 3+3, 4+2, 5+1) Total outcomes are 36 (6 faces x 6 faces) and favorable outcomes are 5, so the odds are 5/36 that the point roll was a 6. 13.88888889%

Craps odds challenge
Craps is a common casino dice game. Briefly, two six-sided dice are randomly rolled, and the values of the faces (1-6) are totaled for the two dice. In the common Pass-line bet, there can be three outcomes (referring to the two-dice total): Win - 7 or 11 is rolled, Lose - 2, 3 or 12 is rolled, or Point - 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is rolled. In the case of Point, the game outcome is decided as follows. Additional rolls are taken until either (a) the Point recurs, or (b) a 7 occurs. If the Point occurs

Improved odds of a 5W Powerball win, or coincidence?
The only way I have found to consistently lower the odds in PB or MM is to eliminate all prime numbers. Of the last 408 MM draws, this occurred in 1 out of 7 draws. If everyone stopped buying quick picks and made their own with a simple Bingo hopper, I don't think we would see as many huge jackpots. Most assuredly, more 5 of 6 winners.

Improved odds of a 5W Powerball win, or coincidence?
The reason the odds are 1 in 11,238,513 is there are 11,238,513 possible outcomes and only one of them will be drawn. And there is always only one outcome regardless how many combos we play. What's your plan for reducing the number of outcomes to 314,432, kidnapping half the ping pong balls?

TY orange, odds are often like fact pathology and management, or manipulated; greatly depending how they are applied or articulated, before, with or after (subject)

Odds Question
in a way, that's right, the odds may indeed be deceptive. It matters a great deal the precision of how the question is specified. Does it mean at least 20 losses in a row or exactly 20 losses in a row (out of 240 games)? If the latter, does the streak happen only once, with no other streaks of 20 losses (i.e. any other streaks are 19 losses or less) or can there possibly be multiple streaks of 20 losses in a row, but at most 20 in a row ? These will have different answers. I'm confident these qu

Nature of Randomness in Mechanical Systems
Pennsylvania, April 24th, 1980. Nick Perry, then the host of the lottery drawings at WTAE in Pittsburgh, and lottery official Edward Plevel recruited WTAE art director Joseph Bock to inject a small amount of latex paint into the lottery balls that were not 4's or 6's. Reducing the 1:1,000 odds down to 1:8. They then played 7,000 tickets of each of the 8 combinations for a payday of $3,500,000 when 6-6-6 was drawn. There were other co conspirators who bought the tickets. They were eventually caug
