PowerBall and the 10x PowerPlay promotion
For several years, PowerBall has had a promotion where 1 slot on the wheel that selected the PowerPlay multiplier was replaced by a 10x multiplier, and all prizes were increased accordingly if the 10x was chosen for a given draw. In the past, this has always happened in March or April (at least according to the Wikipedia article on PowerBall). Emailed the promotion contact listed and the doofus told me how to play the promotion...buy at least $10 pb tickets, etc. I really think they are outsourcing to another country. I was surprised that the $5/$2 QP promotion did not produce a jackpot winner. It will be really interesting to see if this baby can get pumped up to $20 million; however, it will take another three weeks to get there, and that assumes the rollovers stay consistent at $700k. i have never bought the promotion for PB...but usually if you do the promotion for Sweet Million...i think those free tickets are still labeled as QP... could be a typo....we will have to wait and see for the SM promotion in June!!
