US House votes to kill Internet gambling
Like with immigration, congress does the opposite of what the people want The House passed legislation Tuesday that would prevent gamblers from using credit cards to bet online and could block access to gambling Web sites. The legislation would clarify and update current law to spell out that most gambling is illegal online. But there would be exceptions - for state-run lotteries and horse racing - and passage isn't a safe bet in the Senate, where Republican leaders have not considered th

Pennsylvania Lottery struggles to attract bets on virtual sports games
The Pennsylvania Lottery has more than 1,850 outlets with screens displaying virtual animated football and auto races. The odds of finding someone watching a bet play out on the simulated sports action is pretty low. With a few exceptions, lottery licensees in the region report few customers are spending their time or money on the Xpress Sports games lottery officials introduced in August. Xpress Football offers the chance to bet from $1 to $20 each on up to 16 possible outcomes such as a

Reducing odds
I'm pretty sure Floyd knows the difference between betting terms of for 1 and to 1 and probably knows a thing or two about casino table games like blackjack, craps, roulette, other table games along with horse, dog racing and sports betting. The House keepz the bet money no matter how the expression iz written...whether it'z dog racing, horse racing, Lotteries or Sportz gambling. If you saying the house keepz an even money blackjack bet, you would need to win 100% of your bets just to br

DOJ reverses 2011 opinion of the Wire Act; legal online gaming in question
There was no Online lottery betting when the Justice Department made their 2011 ruling which basically said the intent of the 1961 Wire Act was for sports betting. The lottery lawyers probably already have the answers to the legality of selling multi-state tickets where the only effect (if there is one) is on jackpot prizes; states payout all the secondary prizes. I always thought the 2001 JD ruling was unfair because it didn't apply to interstate horse racing betting and the 2006 UIGEA went

DOJ reverses 2011 opinion of the Wire Act; legal online gaming in question
The 1961 wire act was made to stop sports betting That strikes me as the rational conclusion. The first sentence reads ... transmission in interstate or foreign commerce of bets or wagers or information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers on any sporting event or contest, or for the transmission of a wire communication which entitles the recipient to receive money or credit as a result of bets or wagers, or for information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers ... Sports betting lines...
There's a theory in sports betting that nobody is this good , meaning the line makers are so accurate sometimes (often) that it's almost as if the teams in a game adjust the score to fit the line, ahem. Here's two from today, 8-18-2018 MLB San Francisco Cincinnati 1 7 Over 8.5 The O/U (Over/under, total runs scored) in that game was 8.5 The total was 8...this happens all the time. CFL GAME SCORE PICK UNITS STATUS Montreal Edmonton 24 40 End of

Planetary alignment numbers for today
Hi Aly. have u been winning? I know u ask other posters for NJ #s, have any of them post winning #s? I didn't think so. I am into sports betting, and hardly play lotto anymore. I won more $ betting on Eagles playoff games than all the $ I ever won playing lotto. Assuming ur team covers the point spread, u have 50:50 chance of winning, which is a hell of lot better than 1000 to 1 odd in P3 ST hit.

We Are The Numeralogic Masters..
When most of us hear the phrase Online Gambling or Internet Gambling , we usually picture the average websurfer casually placing a few bets on some rounds of Texas Hold em. Indeed, there are countless websites dedicated to online gambling and I m sure we all know someone who visits them. Some folks are genuinely addicted to online gambling, much like other forms of digital afflictions like video game addiction. But what are the stakes involved with online internet gambling? Is it legal? Can y

online lottery
I'm a bit confused about this online play because I've read it is not illegal Welcome to the club! I played online poker and it was simply setting up an account and using a regular bank checking debit account to deposit money into the online poker account. I could withdrawn from the poker account and the money would be in my debit account in less than three days. It was a legal transfer of funds for gambling to and from U.S. banks to foreign banks until Congress passed the Unlawful Inter

Post your scratch ticket results
Maybe our area is cold, though every store I walk in has big winners posted of recent games. I was def excited about my roll. I think if I had a $50/$100 and still only got 1/2 back I would have been less dejected. Be nice if there could be some Gas Out type thing for scratch offs. Maybe the states would get the hint about the crappy odds and ripoff. I know gambling is gambling, but it has to be the worse with scratchoffs. You dont have to be in the right place with daily #'s/cash5/powerball/etc
