Northstar fights to keep Illinois lottery documents secret
This is a total lack of the Law. By hidding it's company policy aka how they keep so much money is why so many states are not making money yet those on the boards or private share holders are. Law makers who request a private company to run their state Lottery should be investigated and kick out of office, arrested on fraud and theft! Arizona ia another Lottery which is cheating and I've asked for a full investigation into these so called revenue building lottery companies.

As a Lottery JP winner: Would you " help" your city out if they were on the verge of bankruptcy?
This topic is deeper than just the politics of guilt that noise-gate brings up or the bickering that candlelight is talking. Voting is the power of theft. Two votes has the power to steal from the one vote. Every election your out voted then who cares who is republican, democrat, conservative or liberal. All you know is that you have been separated from some more of your wealth to pay for someone else against your will. Remember these two words: Greed Theft. Its not greedy to want to keep wh ...

As a Lottery JP winner: Would you " help" your city out if they were on the verge of bankruptcy?
Great post CdanaT! However your logic will never win out over envy and theft in the hearts of man. Society is based off self interest. What people can't make they will vote to steal it. Then direct democracy society moves from gold coins silver coins as money to fiat paper money in order to steal through inflation. Then you have theft, debt, booms, busts, recessions, depressions, welfare, wars, death, rinse repeat. Dictatorships don't work for liberty but neither does the voters through dire ...

Kentucky man arrested for cashing stolen lottery ticket
This illustrates that crime does not pay! I wonder if anyone is banned from playing the lottery if convicted of theft in any form against a lottery player or retailer?

$180 Mistake! What would you have done?
Just another example of why clerks should be removed from the process entirely. Millions of dollars are being made by the states, let them invest some of it to automate the whole process, from buying tickets to cashing them in with Lottery ATM's. Let the only human error be made by the player and remove the opportunity for mistakes, blunders, fraud and theft by clerks.

Manage your winnings or have somebody else do it for you and why?
Yes its definately a quandary. However, if somebody else loses it, its more akin to theft. If you lose it your self, than you are just a dumb ass.

Can lottery organizations control the location of jackpot winning tickets?
Response to good info from mrcraft in JWBlue's double-post in other thread: http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/250725/3401688 ... there are many layers of checks and balances to ensure integrity of its scratchers, and in order to perpetuate fraud (e.g., sending your friends to buy entire rolls of tickets at specific retailers to win top prizes) you need at least 6 people from the gaming company and lottery office participating in the conspiracy to pull it off. And yeah, that famous incid ...

your other job
Retired now, was in the Army, worked for the post office, and casinos. Also dabbled in a few things that just didn't take off, a lawn sprinkler company in Seattle, and a company that made prescription windshields. The idea was people who wore glasses or contacts wouldn't need them to drive - and as a side benefit, prescription windshields would really cut down auto theft.
