your other job
Retired now, was in the Army, worked for the post office, and casinos.
Also dabbled in a few things that just didn't take off, a lawn sprinkler company in Seattle, and a company that made prescription windshields. The idea was people who wore glasses or contacts wouldn't need them to drive - and as a side benefit, prescription windshields would really cut down auto theft.

what kind of small business would be good to invest in if you won a jackpot (IYO)
You're going to need something to keep you busy other than investments, and if you think you wont have to watch your financial people like you do your small business employees you're super wrong...they are white collar criminals and their theft would be harder to spot than some hourly worker you're paying who's grabbing a couple dollars here and there out of the til.....Why would I start a business? I guess I am a worker bee, I love my down time but too much of it drives me crazy, I'd have to do ...

Should you win either jackpot: would you hesitate to write a check to fellow forumites?
You seem to suffer from memory loss. You sided with that guy from California whose Mother bought a lottery ticket which he signed and ended up being taken to court by his Mother for theft- You, Ronnie- sided with the Son like you did with Andy, in other words that son threw his Mother under the bus, of course you don't see things that way...in a word you like:: Schizophrenia.Go to the mirror again friend. Take a hard look.

Twelve things not to do if you win the lottery
Well, you're wrong. Lottery tickets are bearer instruments. If someone were to obtain a lottery ticket illegally, like through theft, and that theft could be proven, then most certainly the person could be arrested and they would not be paid the jackpot. But that's because theft is a crime, and has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that lottery tickets are bearer instruments, which they are.

Former MD Lottery employee pleads guilty of stealing tickets, cashing winners
, MDguy. Plus, it still amazes me that these thieving employees are allowed to continue their theft for over 3.5 years (while often even being watched by officials for over one year)!
