Does it say if the tickets were quick picks/self-picks? If either or both tickets was a quick pick then it's probably a coincidence, if they were both self picks then Tipton bells should activate and an investigation launched.

I understand your concern. There have been instances, however, where both ball-drawing equipment and RNGs have been compromised. The critical issue, as you have referenced, is having the security and integrity measures in place to protect against wrong-doing. Someone will always be trying to beat the system, and lotteries constantly have to make improvements to guard against that. Another possibility is the government seized MUSL servers due to an investigation; maybe related to the Hot Lotto drawing fix scheme. From other government seizures I recall (sites selling illicit drugs, movie trading sites, etc), that's not unheard of. The authorities conduct a raid(s), pull the plug, so to speak, and seize everything computer related. That could explain the lack of notice nor press releases; MUSL staying suspiciously mum.

I paid for my last new pick-up truck with a check drawn on my personal account, if there was an investigation no one contacted me. I'm sure people better off than me do such things all the time with no problems and if I ever won a lottery jackpot I probably wouldn't ever buy anything on an installment plan again.

Quads drawn 5 times in less than 12 Months
I live in Missouri, and I'm wondering if we should call in an investigation on the electronic pick 4. Within the last 12 months we have had Quads pulled 5 times. Since September of 2013, 0000 has been drawn twice, 8888 has been drawn twice and today 0000 was drawn. Has anyone seen this happen before? I mean what are the odds. Thoughts anyone
