Pi Cycle
Thanks for checking out the topic. I was testing different multiplyer and divider numbers to see if I could find one that generated a giant cycle using at least half the combos. That one you found is pretty big, I never could find one as big. I didn't think to test logarithm numbers. It looks like there's no rime or reason to the number of cycles or how big they get. I may put a pin in this investigation for now.

Interest In Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
At this point in our investigation, we're not trying to predict. What we're doing is looking at the range of possibilities that random processes are capable of presenting to us without applying filters or systems to the output of the random number generators. Note that there were some pretty big winners among those 50,000 roulette players, and all they did was bet on 1 every time!

Random Skew Vs Bias
I've read that there are formulas that mathematicians can use to calculate the parameters of randomness and bias of any event. I would imagine the lotteries audit their drawings and prizes payouts and investigate whenever those events are not within the expected parameters. When PowerBall had all those 5of5 wins last year it triggered an investigation that ended at a fortune cookie factory in New York.

A Better Method for Pick3
BuzzsawAnnVtracs is designed to help with the lottery. Phi has no such design. Previous posters have found no particular correlation between Phi and the lottery. If you have found such a secret, could you demonstrate with data? Something that warrants further investigation of Phi.A one month workout, perhaps?

Markov Chains in Lottery Games
Let's be real for a minute. State that lottery is having pick 3 outcomes like following:
000 000 000 000 000 000
What do you think will be the reaction of the lottery, the players, the press, the mathematicians and others?
Would the lottery close the game for investigation? Are you supposing that there is collusion? ...

According to the above article, a lot of players got their numbers from the TLC Network's broadcast of How the Lottery Changed My Life after the show announced what it believed were the most frequently drawn lotto numbers,8-25-31-50-44-54.
A similar thing happened last year when a lot of players got their numbers from fortune cookies which all had the same message. In that case there were more than 120 match5 winners and the PB lottery did an inve

Indiana, RNGs & Allegations: Time to Test
I absolutely agree that there could be a programming bug. And, a bug is unlikely to be discovered without a huge number of samples. DIEHARD (a program for testing RNG algorithms) generally requires a minimum of 3 million data points to make a decision about the randomness of an algorithm. Basic mathematical tests like chi-squared could show a tendency towards non-randomness with perhaps 25,000. It would not be a proof, but if there is a problem in the sample, then further investigation wou

Mathematical Sequences
Quote: Originally posted by ayenowitall on May 26, 2004It was stated early on in this topic that sequences are generally believed to have no useful application in predicting lottery outcomes. It is also widely held that there is no method which can be used to predict any lottery outcomes. Notwithstanding, many of us here at Lottery Post try to do just that by a wide variety of means. So long as lottery draws are regarded as independent dvents, I can't imagine any way to link them together. What's Next - Part 2
Serge
Here are answers to your questions.
My workout breaks a daily lottery game into three major parts - A, B and C.
The initial step is replacing the actual lottery digits with substitute digits.
Here is the arrangement:|
Part A:
L# Substitute
8 1 aka 1A
9 2 aka 2A
3 3 aka 3A
Part B:
L# Substitute
7 4 aka 4B
5 5 aka 5B
1 6 aka 6B
Part C:
L# Substitute
0 7 aka 7C
6 8 aka 8C
4 9 aka 9C
2 0 aka 0R
This means that every lot

Artificial Intelligence
Hi,
Thanks to every one for taking the time to talk about all this. I would like to ask Jimmy if it is not AI, what do you use to play? Any system? There is always a danger to dellusion when comming to something like lotto game.
But I see it like playing with numbers, that is already fun to me, some times I've made small amount and there is always the possibility for the big hit. I use AI sometimes, it is not the only thing though.
As for me I will continue with AI investigation, experi
