$1.76 billion Powerball jackpot won by one ticket sold in California
Lol that you're saying california has a higher population than China or India combined is totally nuts.
If the lottery were rigged, it would be so california and Florida dont win. Sales would be better from other states if people didn't see those 2 winning all the time and the objective of the lottery is to increase sales.
I don't believe the lottery is rigged so anyone in any particular place wins it, that doesn't benefit the lottery system in any way. I wouldn't be surprise

$1.4 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
Anyone with 238.2 million dollars has 8 times more wealth than what most financial institutions would typically classify an investor as being an Ultra High Net Worth individual. Most UHNWI's have a large portion of their investments in real estate. They own multiple mansions scattered all over the world. Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein owned an island in The Caribbean as well as a mansion in Palm Beach Florida..
30 million is just a standard, it's not a hard and fast rule. UHNWI can and does me

Florida winner of $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot steps forward to claim prize
Appreciate CDanaT informative post on Florida statutes..interesting!
A published PDF on the official website IS technically the ownership of that site..ergo, it's their written summation.
All in good time the persons' public name maybe shared. One of the rare times that I hope it's a group.

$925 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot nears billion-dollar milestone
True that many MM and PB jackpot winners have claimed via an LLC or trust.
If a winner waited until just before the deadline to claim the cash option, invoked the Florida privacy law, and also hired a lawyer to set up a trust or LLC for them, then I have to believe their name will be very hard to come by. Especially if they hired their lawyer to act as their trustee to administer the trust. No reputable lawyer would ever compromise their clients confidentiality.
Even if The Fla Lottery

$1.58 billion Mega Millions lottery winner has two weeks left to claim cash option
Right! Dont know what I was thinking! It'll very likely be a lawyer that contacts The Florida Lottery on behalf of the winner(s).
IMHO setting up an LLC or a trust to claim the winnings is one of the very first recommendations a lawyer should make to their client.
Lottery's also say that revealing the name of jackpot winners helps build confidence by the general public that the lottery is fair and not rigged. The part they leave unsaid is that it's also very good for business. G5

$1 million Mega Millions prize won in Iowa will expire in two weeks
Eddie Tipton where are you?
Reminds me of a high heeled lady playing scratch tickets here, ATM right next to the lottery machine as I patiently waited my turn. Finally she left, scanned her tickets and there was a $200 winner in the trash!
There are a few high heeled folks in the Saddlebred Capital of the World where I live. One family owns four well known resorts...hint hint first one in Nashville; now one in DC, Colorado and Florida. About 10 years ago she got tired of foolin

One ticket sold in Florida is sole winner of $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot
You think it is rigged for certain states to win it.
Considering Florida and California have no state tax on lottery winnings , it makes no sense to rig a MM or PB drawing to benefit either state. Several states collect over 8% in state taxes and it's over 10% in a couple.
They don't want the facts to get in the way of their conspiracy theories.

$1.55 BILLION: Biggest Mega Millions jackpot ever to be drawn Tuesday
Publix Neptune Beach Florida is where ticket was sold.
Somehow that rings a bell and remember a Publix somewhere in FL sold a huge ticket, believe to that elderly woman someone let go in front of them in line and bought the winning ticket. Her, her Son and his boyfriend plastered all over the place.
Anxiously awaiting national news.
