Wish PA still had them. Hate having to scan everything to double check. They went from 349(5)282(0)3430 for a $50 win to FTY somewhere in the play area to nothing now. I understand to save on fraud, but I know alot of players through away good winners and PA never had to pay. I know the self scan is to get you back in the store in hopes you buy more also. Good marketing ploy PA.lol

I'd be careful. Had another lousy day - first Spades ticket from Wawa won $2 and then the other 9 lost! I have never been so unlucky so it has to be the lousy fraud tickets. The more you spend, the more you likely give it back.

If they deliberately holding the rolls of tickets with grand prizes sitting in their warehouses and never making the tickets available for purchase, they are essentially committing a fraud. If there are still X number of tickets with grand prizes, then X number of tickets must be available for purchase by the end of the game expiration.

Questions about security and distribution
I'm a new member from Pennsylvania - don't even have any clever end quote yet - and I'm wondering about something in regard to instant scratch off games. Perhaps someone can help? Let's take a $10 game that has 8 top prizes of $250,000. I'm assuming whatever company creates these for the states runs off the entire lot of tickets at once, somehow sprinkling in the top prizes along the way (exactly how they do that is also a bit of a mystery to me). What Stops an Agent From Selling Pre-Scanned Tickets?Reply
It's impossible. At least here in VA and I would hope every other state. All you can do by scanning the back is to activate the roll. There's no way to check to see if it's a winner or not without scratching the front which means you will eat the ticket if it's a loser. (That or get busted for fraud) Only an idiot would buy a ticket with the bar code scratched off.

This is height of fraud from FL Lottery. I received the latest list of stores that have 50x cash throughout Florida as on 08/15. It comes to only 100 books inlcluding snappy food store, vero beach and AK stores, Gainesville. If you remove 50x books of both these stores(-35) and other sold out/unavailable books, then it comes down to 36 activated/received and available books....Does it mean that remaining 5100 books have been destroyed/stolen/lost??????????WTF???

I took a couple weeks off then this afternoon went to Haines City to meet family for lunch. After lunch I dropped into the Haines City Publix near the interstate and purchased 4 x $25 Misfortune and 4 x $25 Florida Cash, thinking maybe some winners way out in Polk County. Man I was wrong.
