Do you have the option of keeping anonymous when you claim a scratch off prize?

Well you can't be anonymous in NY but
This guy has the right idea! I'd just add the fake beard when I win!

No More
I will not call the hotline, nor will I be convinced to do so. Each call is recorded, logged and saved, so like I said it's not really anonymous. This data could end up at a casino for all we know...

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Ralphie, the jackpot winners in this state have the option to remain anonymous. The top prize list is updated daily, but the Lottery need not report the winner or where the ticket was sold, although there are notable exceptions which can easily be found on the site. In any event, finding a winning Scratcher over $100 is incredibly hard to find and in my 16 years of playing, has only happened to me three times.

Would the lottery get upset if we post pictures of TOP PRIZE scratch off tickets?
On the question if they'd be upset: probably. Would they do anything about it? Doubtful. But I would still wait until after the winnings are deposited into my bank account first, even if I did decide to post the ticket for the benefit of others. Why would they be upset? Well, they generally don't like putting out any information that they fear would hurt sales. Take the ticket mentioned previously for large top prize. If the winning ticket was posted showing ticket pack number 121456 for exam

Post your scratch ticket results
Nice win. I do that with the symbol games. They all look alike, so i only uncover the words. That way I can trust what I am reading, vs the symbols that I am seeing. Co worker wanted me to pick up tickets for her with the coupon. She doesn't play. Went over and got her tickets and didn't get any for me. I feel like I am going through stages of Gamblers Anonymous. You see so much clearer when you get past denial of thinking there are winners out there. Good luck everyone!!

Hey, What About The Losers?
On the claim form, there was a separate section for your consent to be photographed and it was optional to sign it. When I made my claim, I didn't sign the consent section initially and they offered me a baseball cap and a T-shirt to sign it. I've been watching the website and my picture hasn't been posted yet so I think that your chances of remaining anonymous are fair so long as it's just the $1,000 prize. The claim form also requires you to write a story about how you felt when winning the pr

Hey BuyLow, I believe this would be the same 5 mil win from October. Florida lottery has been reposting the jackpot wins with the winner name after the Statute expires for anonymous claim. So after 90 days more or less. On another note yes I always find the store owners buying and winning at their own store fishy, Happened several times here in Orlando even once at a store that i used to frequently play. But hey there's no rule that they can't play so it will keep happening, a store owne

Discarded Lottery Tickets - 1st Full Year of Checking Completed
This is why states like mine (VA) suck with the prize codes, it's very difficult to find thrown away winners because it's hard to miss that B Z P D on a losing ticket. That's incredible though man and a huge chunk of extra cash for the year. It's like a gamble-free $5,000 winner....actually, it's better because yours was tax-free which knocks a $5,000 down to about $3,600, lol...and most chasers will spend tens of thousands in a year and probably never even see that $5,000 winner.
