One drawing, that's it. After that, the history changes and so does the next pick...I know that it's been debated to death that past history has nothing to do with future draws... but so what :-)I play one, sometimes 2 tickets per powerball draw and have better results using statistics based on past draws than anything else I have tried so far... getting closer but no big win yet. (it's alot cheaper than those filtered wheels I used to use)

Scans are good enough for me. I'd be scared to death to scan a real winner. Imagine your scanner turning into a highpowered deathray. EZ Money's got the record, but $150 is the best for the year so far.

My understanding is that if the estate cannot pay the inheritance tax in full (on the remaining payments) within 10 months of the winner's death, the estate would not be able to receive any more annuity checks until the tax is paid, even if the estate has to sell their assets. The estate would also have to pay interest on the inheritance tax they owe. I MAY BE WRONG; please correct me if necessary.

That's what I was wondering about???What do you mean by UP FRONT? Does that mean that the first several annual payments after one's death will be confiscated by the IRS because of taxes or will the tax just become larger each year?

Understood. The cash amount ($5.75 mil) is what the state would invest to pay the $10 million annuity. The cash is the real jackpot. The state likes to advertise the annuity because it's a bigger number. At my age, I want the cash amount. Granted, the annuity would be inherited by my kids at my death, but.... they will get a nice chunk anyway with the cash amount.

For the jackpot to be won, it would have to be a store bought quick pick, or birthday, anniversary numbers, birthday death numbers (obit numbers). Random number generator picks never do anything. I have noticed that liquor stores, gift stores, bookstores, restaraunts have a lot of jackpot winners.
