Preparation for picking up the prize.
Thanks for the warning, but I'm not sure I agree. I am familiar with creating trusts to avoid probate and litigation to reduce one's estate before death. However, what you wrote makes sense even though I'm not sure signing my name would prevent me from forming a revocable trust and collecting the money as the trustee. It is food for thought, however. Hmm. I'm pretty sure I'd have to apply for another tax ID for the trust, but I also think I could still use my name and collect the winnings

$340,000,000 winner in OREGON
I agree delS...hopefully the winner can stay low and enjoy their winnings. I got so sick of tired of seeing Jack-I really think he wanted to see how long he can stay in the spotlight. When the national news heavily covered the granddaughter's death and other problems the family had (didn't he get robbed before or something?), that came to show how much they stuck around after winning Powerball. If I was right, I think the news had stories about them in my area (maybe since KY borders WV) everyda

Tx Lottery Jackpot documents
The lottery by its very nature cannot advertise the truth. If they did, no one would play! The truth is that the state lotteries want to nickel-dime you to death. When you wheel or play multiple numbers the state is a greater risk of losing. They want you to use quick picks and megaply your bet.Careful and informed players are the lottery commission's worst nightmare. They want you to hand them your money, sit down and shut up. Winning to them is a revolutionary act!Orangeman

Better luck to all??
Out here in the horse'sbutt state, (North Carolina) we can not play any lotteries. Our government and churches think it will make poor people even poorer. So they do the next best thing.TAX THEM TO DEATH. I can not understand for the life of me why people belive poor poeple will get poorer by playing the lottery. Don't they get poorer by paying taxes that they can not afford. Don't poor people drink or smoke? Don't they buy gas? I quess they don't pay income tax, or property tax. It's nice to kn

Powerball as you have never seen it
Looneylotto. Boiling it down-as I understand you-if you can talk 300,000 or so folks to buy 390 tickets for each draw and in this way you will have every combo covered. I'm no mathematician but I'd have to say this conforms to basic mathematics. Now lets see...you are going to talk 300,000 people to play 390 tickets. 300,000 to play 390 tickets. You'll make a fortune writing a book, I'm the most persuasive guy ever . 300,000 to play 390 tickets. I immediately thought of the movie, Beau G

How long do you bet your numbers?
I usually pick fresh numbers for each game. I play 4 games twice a week. Usually Five bucks a game. (PowerBall, Mega Millions, MD Lotto, PA Super Six*) I combine my own picks and quick picks for each game. Sometimes I get lazy and play the same numbers again. Or sometimes I just have a good feeling about the numbers I already have. I always toss the old cards when I have filled out new ones.Often I play the same set of numbers in all four games.I hope you enjoy this poll and it has not already b

90-year-old wins Florida Lotto
Quote: Originally posted by ShadyLady on May 30, 2003 It doesn't matter WHERE anyone is from. If they screw up and don't choose CASH,in any state, can't they still set it up like I said, in a TRUST? That is the point I am trying to make. Wouldn't that keep it from going back to the state? You don't need a trust. All state lottery payments to be received after a person's death automatically get assigned to the person's estate. There are tax implications - as I'm sure that Cash Only will remind t

Never let lottery assign you an annuity
Dear littleoldlady: CA needs to change the rules so that the choice can be made AFTER you win. As for someone's life span, there is NO guarantee (always remember 9/11) that someone will live long enough to receive all their payments. What if she dies, and her heirs (grandchildren, etc) have to pay inheritance tax UP FRONT (within 10 months of the winner's death) on the future lottery payments, and they can't pay off the IRS bill ? People who want the annuity DON'T consider all the potential cons

WIN LOTTERY EVERYDAY
TRUE ISTORY OF THE EASTER - means A STAR is BORN 1) JESUS not his real name. YESHUA it was. Easter is for this...YES WE AH U AH.... No brainer all of this meaning we don't need mind thoughts words ideas to see what we KNU and to BE a SEE'R (we are). PERSONALITY means very little. 2) Burial was done by Joseph of Arimethea, who then took the body out of the tomb before the romans and jews would not desecrate or destroy it 3) The resurrection was simply the Appearance (TO APPEAR) as th
