Who is Sam Bankman-Fried and Why Are The Fed's After Him?
Yesterday SBF was criminally charged in NYC by a US Attorney for The Southern District of New York. He was arrested by Bahamian Police last night without incident. Extradition proceedings to The United States are expected to begin soon. Here's a partial cut and paste from a press release issued by The US Securities and Exchange Commission The complaint alleges that, in reality, Bankman-Fried orchestrated a years-long fraud to conceal from FTX s investors (1) the undisclosed diversion of

Who is Sam Bankman-Fried and Why Are The Fed's After Him?
Just for a little perspective on the SBF case/mess - It's bigger than Enron and worse than Bernie Madoff .... Some other comments I've heard are Just the tip of the iceberg ... more indictments to follow .... One legal expert said that He's charged with wire fraud and that's the easiest crime for a federal prosecutor to prove .... Sam The Sham is toast. Cryto Curency is an unregulated asset class. It's not like stocks and bonds which are asset classes that are regulated by The US Securit

It's Delayed. They are making this look Strange.
Then again, they could be preventing any possibility of fraud. If a terminal sold tickets after the cut off, what not. Whom knows?

Wouldn't common sense tell you to wait for the check before speaking?
On another forum you said you worked at a drug store chain. Are you currently in a line of work where you sell or validate lottery tickets, and is that why these kinds of stories interest you? If I were you I would not let my employer or coworkers know I had an avid interest in lottery fraud stories. They might start to wonder...

Who is Sam Bankman-Fried and Why Are The Fed's After Him?
I guess it just depends upon what news source you read/listen to as to how much money he donated to whom. I saw one Republican Congresswoman interviewed on The FOX Business Channel say - It appears as if FTX was a gigantic embezzlement machine funneling money to The Democratic Party. But who really knows who got how much of the money SBF donated? As for me personally, I don't care so much about SBF donating money to anybody. I'm far more interested in the criminal aspects of the case. I've

Store-specific lottery ticket paper?
Today while getting a Powerball ticket at a Quick Trip, I asked why their fast-processing machine wasn't working yesterday. The clerk said it was because the machine ran out of paper, and they had to wait on the lottery service to deliver more paper that was specific for that store. What I found interesting is that the clerk said the paper was store specific. Maybe as fraud prevention in case someone figures out how to thermally print a fake ticket after a draw?

Who is Sam Bankman-Fried and Why Are The Fed's After Him?
It is standard practice to only have to put up 10% or less for the total bail amount. And unless an in house attorney is wearing 2 hats, an attorney and officer position, the chance for indictment decreases if they are just in house Counsel. You would need direct evidence they knew of the fraud unless they were involved in cooking the books.

I totally agree. And I'd add that the word 'probably' is in the sentence. It might be the case that someone is offering you an unbelievably good deal, but the skeptic in me leans towards it's much more likely that it's not. What's so wrong with being cautious and trying to protect yourself against fraud? As far as I'm concerned, the people that threw caution to the wind got just what they asked for when they dealt with SBF. G5

Is there a such thing as luck ? Can the lottery be beaten at its own game
You said your conclusion that lottery is rigged is based on Analysis , basic probability, algebra, number theory, geometry and arithmetic . There is a pick 3 probability that around 66% of the three digit numbers will be drawn in in 1000 drawings. You might be on to something if you can find where less than 500 or more than 800 different straight numbers in 1000 drawings. More difficult to find something like that in pick 4 games and next impossible for games with 100,000 or more outcomes. Which
