Is there a such thing as luck ? Can the lottery be beaten at its own game
You said your conclusion that lottery is rigged is based on Analysis , basic probability, algebra, number theory, geometry and arithmetic . There is a pick 3 probability that around 66% of the three digit numbers will be drawn in in 1000 drawings. You might be on to something if you can find where less than 500 or more than 800 different straight numbers in 1000 drawings. More difficult to find something like that in pick 4 games and next impossible for games with 100,000 or more outcomes. Which

In a nutshell, 8.5558% of the total prize pool (total prize pool 50% of sales) is allocated to the 5/5 prize pool. If there are 1 or more winners, the 5/5 prize pool is split equally among all winning tickets. If there is no winner, then the 5/5 prize pool ro

Post a pic of your state's $B billboard ... HERE
Everything is supposed to be bigger in Texas...except lottery billboards. Maybe someday this state will do like those states that display the jackpot accurately. It just might improve sales. Post your state's billboard pic HERE.

No More Self Pick Play Slips Accepted
They better sell them all before the draw They've also got to sell all the milk before it expires, but they still order and stock it before people show up to buy it. I've never seen an actual line for lottery tickets anyplace other than the news, but apparently it sometimes gets busy enough (or at least it used to) that stores can't print them fast enough when a jackpot gets large. As long as they don't go crazy I'd imagine plenty of people will keep on buying between the time that sales st

Have your Lottery-Playing Habits Changed?
Wow...I thought I noticed that Michigan wasn't paying out as much which is one of the reasons I cut back. Looks like I was correct because the last time I remember the payout was 65% but now it has dropped to 60% ! See my blog post about Michigan payouts if you want to read about the Top states for per capita sales and some ranking on the payout percentages by state.

On Average How Many People Play PB or MM In A Drawing
Is it possible to know on average how many people play PB or MM during a draw? I'm not sure that the lotteries even have a precise answer. They obviously know if somebody buys multiple tickets with a single playslip, and multiple playslips can be played in a single transaction as reported by the terminal, but we see posters who buy tickets at different stores and even different states. About the best you could do is make a guess at the average number of tickets per player and compare that t

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Spot on Mr-B-216. I've been trying to explain to $hit$talker for months that the odds of the game are the real issues, and the ONLY probability is that only 5 of the 69 in PB and 5 of the 70 in MM are going to be drawn and ONLY 1 of the Powerball and 1 of the Megaball is going to be drawn. That and the fact that there is no mainframe LO's use to change the draw results because the money lotteries make is from the ticket sales, not cheating. Why would LO's risk killing MM or PB (and if
