VA Win for Life is lifetime annuity yes, but this is not correct in general, at least for my state. You receive payments not to exceed a total of X amount. If you get $250K a year and it is limited to $5,000,000 total, then you only receive $250K a year for 20 years. Most tickets state both the time (20 years) and total amount ($5 million). Win for life-Buying multiple tickets with the same number?
I thought I'd stop and get my decades of dollars and win for life tickets on the way home while ago. I got 3 tickets (for the first time) for win for life with the same numbers (my own numbers). The clerk stared a long time at my numbers before he handed my ticket to me ....kind of like is she crazy or does she know she picked the same numbers 3 times? lol But the back of the play slip says it is only (possibly) parimutuel if there are more than 5 winners and I have never seen more than 2 winner

North Carolina is going to start selling some more win for life tickets starting this tues. ( but Ive already seen and bought some)....5,000 a week 2,500 a week, 1,000 a week and 500 dollars a week..I think I'd like the annunity on this small a prize...but I dont kow what would you do...i mean the lump sum on the 500 a week for life is like $73,000 or some where in that ball park..hehehe I think it would be kinda funny to take the annuity on that just for shiggles LOL

Sadly, the win for life/set for life scratchers here in New York are the worse ones in terms of getting anything back. I bought 4 $10 Set for life tickets one time and got nada.. Bought 4 $5 Money For Life on time.. nada. I bought 2 $20 Win for life tickets ...nada.. The only success thus far has been $100 win on $2 win for life ticket 3 years ago... If I do buy them .. it's like I know it's either going to be nothing or the big prize..
