How much the top 50 charities donated last year

Every time a lottery jackpot is pumped up, usually MM or PB. people say if they win they're going to gove to charity.

This is most interesting......

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poverty/the-top-50-charities-and-how-much-they-actually-donated-last-year/ss-BBPSo2I?li=BBnb4R7#image=2

This is #48 of 51. So there are three that gave more.

The Smithsonian Institution donated $1,307,694,171.

I'm not at all saying don't give, but when you get to the end of the lisy (highest givers) you'll see that in comparison a lot of jackpots are mere chump change.

The new me, so sad and yet so true

Received in an e-mail

I used to think I was just a regular guy, but I was born white, which now, whether I like it or not, makes me a racist & responsible for slavery.

I am a fiscal & moral conservative, which by today’s standards, makes me a fascist because I plan & support myself.

I went to HS, worked through college, got a degree & have held a job, & am here not because I earned it but because I was advantaged.

I am heterosexual, which according to gay folks, now makes me a homophobe.

I am non-union, which makes me a traitor to the working class & ally of big business.

I am not a Muslim, which now labels me as an infidel.

I am older than 65 & retired, making me a useless old man who doesn't understand Facebook.

I think & I reason, so I doubt what main stream media tells me, which must make me a reactionary.

I am proud of my heritage & our inclusive American culture, making me a xenophobe.

I value my safety & that of my family, & I appreciate the police & the legal system, making me a right-wing, cop loving extremist.

I believe in hard work, fair play, & fair compensation according to each individual's merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist.

I believe our system guarantees freedom of effort - not freedom of outcome or subsidies which must make me a borderline sociopath.

I believe in the defense & protection of America for & by all citizens, now making me a militant.

I am proud of our flag, what it stands for, & the many who died to let it fly so I stand & salute during our National Anthem, taking me back where I started - I must be a racist.

Please help me come to terms with the new me because I'm just not sure who I am anymore!

I thank my friends for sticking with me through these abrupt, new found changes to my thinking!

I just can't imagine or understand what's happened to me so quickly!

Funny - it all took place over the last 7 or 8 years! (Thanks liberal media)

If all this nonsense wasn't enough to deal with, I don't know which restroom to use, & I gotta go!!!

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

by T. Harv Eker

This book has Law of Attraction beaten by galaxies

Throughout the book are Wealth Principles

Money will only make you more of what you already are

I wonder if that's part of the reason or the reason why some who win jackpots blow it all

Might be something to consider when the next round of what I'm going to do when I win this jackpot kicks in

Enigmas

Enigmas

  (1) Isn't it weird that in America our flag and our culture offend so many people, but our benefits don't?

(2) How can the federal government ask U.S. citizens to pay back student loans, when illegal aliens are receiving a free education?

(3) Only in America are legal citizens labeled "racists" and "Nazis," but illegal aliens are called "Dreamers."

  (4) Liberals say, "If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it's worth it." Well then, if deporting all illegals saves just one life, wouldn't that be worth it?

 (5) I can't quite figure out how you can proudly wave the flag of another country but consider it punishment to be sent back there.

  (6) The Constitution: It doesn't need to be rewritten; it needs to be reread.

  (7) William F. Buckley said: "Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other points of view and are then shocked and offended when they discover there are other points of view."

  (8) Joseph Sobran said: "'Need' now means wanting someone else's money. 'Greed' means wanting to keep your own. 'Compassion' is when a politician arranges the transfer."

  (9) Florida has had 119 hurricanes since 1850, but some people still insist the last one was due to climate change.

You can’t fix stupid…. I don’t care how much duct tape you use!

Nearly half of cell phone calls will be scams by 2019

Nearly half of cellphone calls will be scams by 2019, report says

Nearly half of all cellphone calls next year will come from scammers, according to First Orion, a company that provides phone carriers and their customers caller ID and call blocking technology.

The Arkansas-based firm projects an explosion of incoming spam calls, marking a leap from 3.7 percent of total calls in 2017 to more than 29 percent this year, to a projected 45 percent by early 2019.

Interesting quote

Over my forty year career as a defense attorney I regularly came into contact with people who lied, cheated and tried to bend the system so that they would come out on top.

Most of them worked for the government.

Understanding The 10 Commandments Of NFL Betting

Example

IX

IX. Thou Shalt Not Chase

Chasing losses is one of the worst mistakes a sports bettor can make. Never chase losses, meaning don;t make a wager or series of wagers just to make up for a few losing wagers, particularly if you hadn’t planned on making the ‘extra’ wagers that week. Remember, when it comes to sports betting you have to take a few bad days along with the good while learning how to maximize your chances of having more good days than bad. Remember, you should always have the games you plan on betting on in mind. Never make hasty, loss-chasing wagers that could cost you in the long run!

This is an updated version. There's a guy, Ernie Kaufman (The Bookie Destroyer) (deceased?)  that wrote the original and one of hjis was Thou sahlt not bet on a game just because it's on TV.

A brief NFL history

I hope this helps us to understand just when the public's respect for the NFL organization started to crumble....

*
In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling for each game to pray, they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his eye-black to avoid glare, and made him take it off.

* In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.

*  In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace" but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.

* In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure" eye black for breast cancer awareness.

* In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (Not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem...).

*In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed in the line of duty.

* 2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression, all of a sudden... It seems quite clear based on these facts that the NFL has taken a position against any action by NFL players demonstratingRESPECTfor any issue: For God, social causes such as mental health, cancer, domestic violence, for cops killed arbitrarily for being cops, for the Memory of 9/11...

BUT they will allow demonstrations of
DISRESPECTfor our National Flag, our National Anthem, for America , and for the American People, if it will help mollify a particular Group and its supporters. That is who and what the NFL has shown itself to be.

Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, too many of whom have come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.
