Madogs Powerball Challenge 4/28
Hi and good luck to everyone. This is my main team for your PB challenge MADDOG10. 1-2-3-8-11-18-25-28-34-42-50-54 and Power balls: 14-17-22-28 At any time, the California Super Lotto Plus jackpot reaches 48 million or more, then we're in sudden death. In this thread, players must have 12 white balls up to 47 and 4 mega balls up to 27 as their prediction to my game. To end my analysis, I hope WB 6 and Mega 6 occur in CA SLP.

Finally a game that matches the temperature
Well the current powerball jackpot is in between records. Record temp in US was Death Valley in 1913 (will all that global warming) and was 134 F. Record temp on earth was in Libya in 1922 (again with that global warming) and was 136 F. Hottest temp ever in a lab was set in 2006 at 3.6 billion F. You don't have to worry about a lottery getting that high unless they pull a fast one. Powerball could say it's that high but forget that the prize is now paid with Taiwan dollars not US dollar

Does hindsight have you frustrated?
My point was that with a pick that close, it could happen again. It gives me shivers that I might pick the right numbers next time. Does anybody else ever feel that way? Has this happened to you? Did you forget to play your numbers one week and they won a large jackpot? Have you seen the numbers in a win and thought how obvious this was and you should have seen it sooner? It can happen again so you keep trying. My wording and God sent these numbers, but I just didn't pick up on it wa

The final drawing for Lotto South...
I think the beneficiary can still elect to take the remainder of the annuity as a lump sum at the time of death. In the case of a guaranteed annuity like Win For Life, the survivor would only receive payments for the duration of the guaranteed period, not the remainder of their life. The designation of a beneficiary bypasses the estate tax. Whether received as a lump sum or an annual payment, it'll be taxed as ordinary income. There was a recent tax law that concerns the taxation of lo

Payments are not that bad.
No Powerball's annuity is much worse. It's a back loaded annuity. This means that you have to wait for a real long time before seeing any money. It takes far less cash to set up a back loaded annuity so you actually get less money even in the long run. It does count inflation in that's the real reason you get far less. Second if you die before the annuity the IRS forces a sale of the annuity to collect income/death tax. The only way around that is if you were smart enough to take cash and get

What is the largest Jackpot ever?
Factoring in inflation on Powerball's back loaded annuity and the very high likelyhood of increasing tax rates it would still be Euromillions assuming anyone would be foolish enough to go for the annuity. Anyone taking the annuity stands a good chance of not living through the full 30 year period and the IRS would force a sale of the annuity anyways. I plan on spending the money while I'm alive since the only thing I can do after death is vote in Seattle. So for me it's what you actually get

Maddog's Powerball Challenge 10/1/05
Anon:Not too many months ago a guy on one of the Lottery Systems threads made a lot better job of it. He made the claim that he could predict the numbers that would hit on MM. Naturally, there was more than the necessary doubt from all quarters. He was challenged to do it.As I recall, he posted 20 numbers several hours before one of the draws, plus one or several red ball choices. He got 4+1 that night.Evidently, he was pestered to death by people wanting him to tell how he did it, and some op

PowerBall 12-11-04: The pigskin challenge
To Get Paid and Twisted.Your replies to Aye's and my suggestion brought a great old movie to mind. The Good earth which starred Paul Muni and Luise Rainer(she won the best actress oscar for her performance). The cast included Walter Connolly, a well-known character actor of the '30s. He played the uncle and arguably one of the most pessimistic roles in the history of screen. He constantly looked at the negative side of things and would say- just as I predicted. It's a disaster. We're done fo

It's a young game with only 33 drawings, and 4 jackpot winners.
