I thought of this thread when I read this article in my newspaper today...so I thought I would post it for you all...this person is right in my area I don't know them or know if they are even on lottery post but here is his comment on the Lottery.. The Pennsylvania Lottery is taking advantage of the people of Pennsylvania. I just had to play those stupid new tickets again. Thought it might be worth it when they first came out. But no! #30-32 Pot O' Gold all losers. #28, 29, 38, 39 Emerald 8s all losers. Pennsylvania is slowly driving me to not play anymore if this is how BRAND NEW tickets perform.

With their odds of winning compared to most other lotteries and the lack of huge prizes, it's not Pennsylvania. But the PA lottery is the only one I can play.

It's awful, awful, awful. The current system is uber-easy to decipher, making it easier to confirm a win. And what's more, it's unique to Pennsylvania, every other lottery either uses the letter system or no system at all. I hate to see it go.

Pennsylvania Nostalgia Tickets
Here are the tickets I found at my grandparents over the weekend. I was trying to make them smaller in quality, so hopefully I didn't go too small that you can't see them. The 1st 3 scans are from the old 79/80 pile. Here are some more current tickets. I think they were in the 2003/2004 area of lottery tickets. Looks like they were still when PA used parenthesis to dictate winners. I was checking out the odds. $20 Diamond

Letter Validation Codes on Tickets ? Are they ALWAYS correct ?
I buy a lot of scratch offs in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Apparently, MD has no ryhme nor reason to letters that appear when you scratch off certain areas of the tickets. But in Pennsylvania I was told losing code letters by a gas station manager. He told me that Q , B , D , P , K , Z are ALWAYS losing tickets.
