Mega Millions sets world record with $1.6 billion lottery jackpot for Tuesday drawing
Any person anywhere in the U.S. can create a blind trust, but unless the jackpot winners holds a public office, it makes no sense for a large jackpot winner to use one. Blind Trust: a financial arrangement in which a person in public office gives the administration of private business interests to an independent trust in order to prevent conflict of interest. Under the trust, the owner does not know how the assets are managed.

Claiming florida lottery with blind trust...
A blind trust is a financial arrangement in which a person in public office gives the administration of private business interests to an independent trust in order to prevent conflict of interest. Under the trust, the owner does not know how the assets are managed. It's probably possible for people not in public office to get a blind trust, but why would anyone not want to know how their money was being invested?

States that offer winners the choice of anonymity
Unless something has recently changed you can claim the Ohio lottery annoymously but with a catch--only with a blind trust. The response I received when I asked about claiming anonymously: You will not be required to have your picture taken for publicity if you are not anonymous. But in order to remain anonymous and ensure NO media or publicity, your prize must be claimed in a Blind Trust. To begin the process of a Blind Trust, you, or your legal counsel should contact the Legal

Few major lottery jackpot winners get chance to be anonymous

However, most government offices responding to FOIA requests may have other provision

My deepest apologies for offending you. Only your state can answer what those policies are for claiming as a blind trust. In NC, a few years ago, you could claim as a blind trust, but they have since changed the rules. Good luck to you. I wish you the best.
