Boxing numbers, how is it done?.....
Quote: Originally posted by Wolfpack24 on February 21, 2005When I go to play at the store I go to I see where people have written down pick 3 and 4 numbers. They do mathmatical functions and calculate a certain number. My friend told me that was called boxing numbers. What are they doing? I had a friend tell me some people know ways to increase their odds on playing the right numbers. If anyone actually knew the right numbers that would mean the game was fixed and they were in on it. What

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
From tonight's Cash 5 draw here tonight. On these, where I cut out what doesn't work, for the 3rd and 4th numbers, there are less options. These ARE right off my workout for tonight. There are headers that go over each section that I did cut off for here. You can see where the winning numbers are compared to my pics, but these where my narrowed down options per. These don't start off looking like this. There are so far, on average about 20 options per pick. That's just from putting the

how could the computer find patterns in a lottery?
Why is it that no mathematician has ever demonstrated via an LP post how knowing the odds, probabilities, statistics and other math-based features can help average, everyday players actually win a significant lottery prize? Firstly, let's get a handle on some terms. Odds and probabilities are basically the same thing. Odds = 1 divided by probability. Equivalently, probability = 1 divided by odds. That is, if the probability of winning is 1 in 150, the odds of winning are said to be 150

Huge update to Lottery Post complete
Well, I just completely a major upgrade of Lottery Post, and I'm just pleased as punch that everything installed correctly and there were no major problems in bringing the site back up. According to my statistics, the site was only down for 3 minutes. Whew! If you're typing a new reply or message, you'll notice right away that the editor is much different. 10 Stupid Things People Have Done After Winning The Jackpot
10. Asking somebody else to claim the prize Jose Antonio Cua-Toc, $750,000 Hitting the jackpot is every person s dream. Imagine the things you can do and the things you can buy with all the money. Though Jessie J once sang that it s not about the money , deep in your heart, you know that money can help buy you happiness and improve your life. Which is why, despite all the odds against winning the jackpot, many will still line up and bet their luckiest numbers for a chance to

Fallacies, and two REAL ways of improving your chances
The fallacy in reviewing the system is the insistance of taking it line by line as those odds never change, each line has an equal chance of being drawn. The difference is between having a chance to win a jackpot in every draw in a reduced 6/36 field versus quicks picks where a post review finds no chance of winning a jackpot in most draws. There is no fallacy there. We can do that as much as we want, it's a common technique in mathematics. You can say line 1 has an x% chance wit

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Every time Ronnie matched five numbers, I entered his 28 numbers into various wheels using the same order he posted. And when he matched five numbers plus the bonus number, there was a five number match using a 4931 combo 4 if 4 covermaster wheel. While 4931 combos are not exactly a 95% reduction, maybe I should said a 94.98% reduction. I know there is only one five number match in 5/28 matrix and some calculate the odds of 4931 combos matching five numbers as 98,280 to 4931 or 20 to 1, but

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
The only way to increase or decrease the Odds of any lottery game is by changing the game matrix. The Odds are the equation of the game. Coin Toss understood my point Thrifty is right, each individual ticket (one line of numbers) is up against the very same odds, 175,000,000 to one. Yes you can increase your chances of winning by buying more tickets, but every single tickets will go against the Odds of the particular game.I feel that the following explains my point very well. In a si

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
So we could express the odds by saying 1/3:30 X 1/3 (or 1/2):30 X 1/3 (or 1/2), (or 1/1):30? I don't know if that would work. I've never tried calculating the odds that way. The reason we divide by 3!, which equals 6, is because we don't have to match the order the numbers are drawn in. If we did, then it would be 1 in 24,360. The lottery sorts the numbers chosen from the same pool from least to greatest. For example to calculate for Hoosier Lotto it's: (48*47*46*45*44*43)/6! = 8,8

Hey, does anybody reveal their method/system?
Some points to make about systems (or algorithms as I call them): - All Systems (algos) are based on information that everyone has access to, which is the history of past drawings. - Some numbers in the history appear to come out more often than others.. the most basic system picks whatever numbers came out most often. - More complex systems rely on mathematics, patterns, and other methods such as VTRAC . I've seen one method that watches for the full moon to predict triples/quads and a
