If I reduce the MM or PB number pool by half and play 3o2e/3e2o...(?)
Also, I didn't catch thiis the first time. Go back and look at how you started this thread. You asked a question about probability that had a simple answer that you didn't know and couldn't figure out on your own.Simple probability allows us to very easily and precisely calculate the odds, but you asked what we thought the odds would be. Somebody who can't do such basic calculations on probability is not pretty versed in probability, regardless of what they may have known or studied in th

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
jimmy #1. I know of know one who has won a lottery without a ticket #2. The balls do not know what the odds are for the game. #3. The odds have nothing to do with the winning set. #4. The odds are beat each time someone wins the jackpot or the lower prizes based on tickets purchased. In the lottery the overall Odds are used to describe the chance of two sets matching. Statistics would agree with the odds but do not allow for the individual player or system. If you were l

Two (2) Power Number System for Pick 6 Lotto
I like my way of thinking and the odds I calculate. When you buy your tickets one of two things will happen. You will win or lose so I have a 50/50% odds.

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
How would that formula work with a game like MegaMillions where the overall odds of winning a prize are 1:39.8? Could that formula be used to calculate if the real odds of winning a prize are different than those posted on the play slips and at the MM website?

Back Testing Formulas
With adding the 3sum into the back testing, my overall odds of wining the minimum or greater has increased and it is higher then the posted overall odds. I was using Foxpro, but with the latest windows 10 updates, it has broken my backtesting program. I am rewriting it in Java (and learning java), and then I will have to redo all the backtesting. Basically I was using different seed values for a random number generator having it create a set of numbers (with certain checks) and see what % won an

Ideas or studies on prediction systems?
You can calculate the odds for hitting 4/4 key numbers in pick 5, 6 or higher. This is a wheel, not a prediction system.

If I reduce the MM or PB number pool by half and play 3o2e/3e2o...(?)
During the last 400 PB drawings (58%)233 times none of the winning numbers were in the previous drawing, (36%)145 times one of the winning numbers were in the previous drawing, (5%)21 times two of the winning numbers were in the previous drawing and one time three of the numbers were in the previous drawing. No need to calculate the odds when you can look at actual results.

lottery
To DrBLW,How did you calculate your odds reduction after applying your general observations. I have a similar system that look at gaps, sums, ranges, general positions of numbers and etc and best improvement I've calculated in a 649 game is 1:14M to ~1:11M. I wrote a little loop in GWBasic which print all the possible combinations and only count the ones within preset parameters which takes a while.RJOh

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
Hello Somethings to consider using this system In a 5-39 game if you play ID = 2 the only 3 digits that can make 5 or more numbers are the digits 1-2-3 There are 3 combos of 2 that can be taken from these digits 1-2, 1,3, 2,3. However. choice #1. 1-2 make the numbers 01-02-11-12-21-22. choice #2. 1-3 make the numbers 01-03-11-13-31-33. choice #3. 2-3 make the numbers 02-03-22-23-32-33. In a 5-39 lottery If ID = 2, only digits 1-2-3 only are capable of producin

Look up for Pool size trend, choose a string
Whatever method you use to develop/evolve your system or select picks, Predicted probabilities related to momentary data distibution(draw trends within certain time frame, find parameters to locate such trends, it could be sums, roots, pi,mirrors etc) is effective way to win a higher payout. This direction comes with patience, and modifying your waging style, because you are not dealing with absolute probability( a bit of stretch, absolute P is not real, Probabilty is always conditional!), but r
