Illinois October Millionaire Raffle!
With September fast approaching, was wondering if anyone will be playing the Illinois $20 October Millionaire Raffle? Also, have you won the raffle in the past and do you have any suggestions or tips on when to buy the tickets, i.e. beginning, middle or end of raffle? Also, how many do you buy for the drawing? Last time I remember there were 4 $1 million dollar winners. I usually play about 2 or 3 tickets but never won anything in the raffle. This time I'm thinking about at least 10 tries.

Well, it's that time of year again and the lotteries are selling Holiday Scratchers and Holiday Raffle tickets. Florida started to sell their new raffle game on November 19, reminding people to buy early or they might miss out on winning a million dollars with the best odds to do so. I mentioned a lot of winning tickets after 250,000 but perhaps the 200,000 mark would be better. Seems very strange ... since they struggled to sell all the tickets for the July 2015 raffle ... which of course they did not ... but they did sell more than 300,000 tickets, so they still made a profit. Looks like the Florida Lottery will be trying a raffle again this year. From what I can see, it was Dec. 2012 since they've had a raffle. I believe their first raffle was in 2006, tickets were $20, and they sold out 1,000,000 tickets.
