We Don’t Need Obama’s Birth Certificate

I have no use for Barack Obama. I don’t need a President with a history of drug abuse who puts the dreams of his father above the interests of the United States. Obama’s presidency is like a giant sinkhole, swallowing up everything we ever valued as Americans.
It’s almost an insult to our intelligence, to ask us to believe that Obama is a US citizen. He has a schizophrenic timeline of unexplained foreign travel, a list of aliases, and uncomfortable friendships with communists and hostile governments.
We can drop this debate over his birth certificate because we have something even more valuable. We have his mother’s passport files.

When Obama was young, children traveled as an addition to their parents’ passports.
Passport regulations required a photo of parent and child together, as well as a certified copy of a hospital birth certificate. State-issued IDs came much later.
If Obama was born in the United States, as everybody says, then there should be a photo of little Barack Obama with his mother, as well as a certified copy of his Hawaiian birth certificate in her file.
Surprise. There are no photos of little Barack Obama in the file. And of course, there is no birth certificate from any hospital in Hawaii.
I know the passport laws for children. Obama’s mother and I would be approximately the same age if she survived. I filled out the very same passport applications for my own daughter, three years after Obama’s mother took him to Jakarta. The laws were the same for both of us.
My daughter was born in an Army hospital in Japan in 1971, when my husband was in the Navy. I added her to my passport so I could bring her back to the United States.
I remember it like it was yesterday because my ex-husband complained about how complicated it was. We had to go to the hospital and get a certified copy of her birth certificate, re-take my passport photo with my daughter, crop it until it fit the requirements, and then go all the way to the US Consulate in Tokyo and stand in line. If there was anything the man hated, it was anything that cost him money or inconvenienced him.
I carried a joint passport for myself and my daughter through US Customs and Immigration in Hawaii. I can tell you from experience that if Obama’s mother tried to take her son through US Customs and Immigration in Hawaii without a joint passport for herself and her son, she would have been stopped.
The obvious question is, who took him through US Customs and Immigration and helped him board the plane in Hawaii? And who brought him back?
The only mention of little Barack Obama is when his mother tried to renew her passport at the US Consulate in Jakarta a few years later. We see evidence of that in the file.

Chris Strunk and Ken Allen were the first to obtain the Stanley Ann Dunham and Lolo Soetoro passport records received under the Freedom of Information Act. It was those records that showed Obama's Indonesian surname "Soebarkah" and led to the discovery that the Department of State destroyed Obama's mama's pre-1965 passport records.

Why are the survivors of the Benghazi-gate tragedy being intimidated into silence? Why are they, as Senator Lindsey Graham asserts, afraid to come forward. Who is intimidating these public servants into silence and to what purpose?

One thing is certain. Benghazi-gate is not about an obscure YouTube video or Obama Regime foreign policy ineptitude. Whatever is being covered-up occurred long before the attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012; and it is entirely possible that people died, and more are now being intimidated into silence, to keep the American public in the dark. That's unacceptable!

Only Congress has the power and authority to get answers. Subpoena the Obama administration for the names of the 33 Benghazi survivors today. Then subpoena each of the survivors, immunize them against prosecution, and protect them, their jobs, their pensions and their families.

Six months have passed and you are running out of excuses as to why you are not asserting your constitutional authority and doing your constitutional duty. The American people are tired of waiting. The American people are tired of the show hearings and dog-and-pony shows. We want answers now. The brave men who died in Benghazi, Libya, their grieving families and the American people deserve no less!

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Being president of the U.S., the most powerful man in the world, is often  most about perception. The man (or, one day, woman) in the job takes actions  large and small every day, but it is the perception of the man that seeps into  the everyday lives of working Americans.

That’s why presidential candidates always hit Philadelphia for a cheesesteak  during campaigns (Democrats to Pat’s, Republicans to Geno’s). Sure, they’re  running billion-dollar operations trying to win the White  House, but one picture of them wolfing down a Cheez Whiz-covered glob of  meat on a Philly street hits home with millions of voters: “Hey, that guy’s just  like me! He loves him a Pat’s [or Geno’s] cheesesteak, too!” (Unless you’re John F. Kerry and order Swiss cheese — then  everyone hates you.)

Sometimes, that perception cuts to the core. Like when President George  W. Bush stopped playing golf in 2003, at the height of the Iraq War.

“I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal,” he said  years later. “I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the  commander in chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in  solidarity as best as I can with them.”

That’s also why Mr. Bush did two other  things, without fanfare or praise. First, he never headed home to his Texas  ranch until after Christmas, instead going to  Camp David for a few days. That way, the hundreds of people revolving around him  at all times — White House staff, Secret  Service agents, reporters, photographers, all the others — could spend the  holiday with their families in and around Washington, D.C. No one ever reported  that — until this column.

Second, he rarely attended sporting events, although he once owned a baseball  team and was a self-confessed stats junkie. His thinking there was the same: If  he went to a baseball game (right down the street from the White  House), his mere presence would mean hours and hours of extra security for  fans. He once stopped off at the Daytona  500 and the metal detectors through which every fan had to pass left  thousands outside in line when the green flag fell; he didn’t attend many  sporting events after that.

But something remarkable has happened with these occupants of the White  House: Neither President Obama nor first lady Michelle appear to give a <snip> about perception.  They won the White House and, by God, they’re  going to enjoy their time there, no matter the cost. And who cares what you  think, anyway?

How else to explain the nonstop vacations the pair keep taking during what  Mr. Obama calls the “worst financial crisis since the Great Depression”? In  2013, the First Family has already enjoyed three vacations — that’s one a month.  (Sorry, Joe America, you might have to forget your week at the beach again this  year, but make sure you get those taxes in on time!)

The Obamas ended 2012 and kicked off 2013 in an $8 million, 6,000-square-foot  house in Hawaii (they left well before Dec. 25, by the way). There, the  president played five rounds of golf (breaking the 100-rounds-as-president  threshold). Scarcely a month into Term 2, Mrs. Obama headed off for Aspen,  taking along the couple’s daughters. Vice President Joseph R. Biden also hit the  Colorado slopes. While the girls (and Joe) were gone, Mr. Obama nipped down to  Florida for a four-day boys weekend of golf, teeing it up with his buddies — and  Tiger Woods. He hit the links again this  weekend, then dropped in for an NCAA tournament game in Washington.

Jumpin’ Joe, for his part, spent New Year’s in the Virgin Islands and popped  off over the Easter weekend for a golf outing at the glorious Kiawah Island,  S.C. (where rounds of golf on the spectacular Ocean Course run $353 — nearly $20  a hole). His third vacation of the year came the same week as reports that he  and his entourage spent $460,000 for a single night in London and $585,000 for a  night at a five-star hotel in Paris.

Then, last week, reports emerged that the Obama girls were kicking it in the  Bahamas for spring break. Days later, a Colorado news station, KMTV, reported  that the girls were now skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho. The White  House flacks didn’t like that one bit.

“From the beginning of the administration, the White House has asked news outlets not to report  on or photograph the Obama children when they are not with their parents and  there is no vital news interest,” said Kristina Schake, communications director  to the first lady. “We have reminded outlets of this request in order to protect  the privacy and security of these girls.”

At their demand, the station scrubbed the report without explanation. What  losers.

To be clear, this has nothing to do with the daughters. Never has. They are  wonderful girls. The issue is use of taxpayer money, especially since Mr. Obama  has shut down the White House to visitors,  citing the cost of security. All these trips cost millions for Secret  Service protection; couldn’t they just skip a few vacations so taxpayers  could visit “America’s House”?

But no, the Obamas don’t care a whit about that, or the perception of them  living high on the hog while many hardworking Americans are struggling to get by  — and hoping to save enough for just one vacation this year.

And that perception, juxtaposed with reality, more than nearly anything else,  tells you an awful lot about this president.

Hillary Clinton snagged in Benghazi cover-up

New reports prompt questions about perplexing security  decisions after attack

 

 

JERUSALEM – As media reports present evidence the U.S. has played a central  role in arming Syrian rebels, new questions now emerge about former Secretary of  State Hillary Clinton’s involvement in the controversial scheme.

The questions prompt a second look at the perplexing security decisions made  by Clinton and other top Obama administration officials the night of the Sept.  11, 2012, attacks on American facilities in Benghazi.

One of those key decisions reportedly delayed an investigative FBI team from  arriving at the Benghazi site for 24 days. The site was widely reported to have  contained classified documents.

WND raised  the Thursday of whether Clinton was telling the truth when she claimed in a  Senate hearing that she had no information about whether the U.S. mission in  Libya was procuring or transferring weapons to Turkey and other Arab  countries.

Her claim appears to contradict a New York Times report that the CIA has been  aiding Arab governments and Turkey in obtaining and shipping weapons to the  Syrian rebels.

The goal of the alleged weapons shipments was to arm the rebels fighting  Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

Any training or arming of the Syrian rebels would be considered highly  controversial. A major issue is the inclusion of jihadists, including al-Qaida,  among the ranks of the Free Syrian Army and other Syrian opposition groups

Now a closer reading of two separate reports from the New York Times paints a  picture of Clinton as the ring leader of the plan to arm Syrian rebels.

Confirming WND’s exclusive reporting for over a year, the  New York Times last week reported that since early 2012, the CIA has been  aiding the Arab governments and Turkey in shopping for and transporting weapons  to the Syrian rebels.

The reported plan to arm the rebels mirrors a plan that, according to the New  York Times, was concocted by Clinton herself.

Last month, the New  York Times described Clinton as one of the driving forces advocating a plan to  arm the Syrian rebels. At the time, the newspaper quoted White House  officials stating they rejected the plan, which was also proposed by then-CIA  Director David Petraeus.

A comparison of the Clinton plan to arms the rebels, as first reported by the  Times, and the new Times report of American-aided shipments to the rebels since  last year makes clear the Clinton plan was apparently put into action.

Last month, the Times reported that the idea of the Clinton plan was to “vet  the rebel groups and train fighters, who would be supplied with weapons.”

Last week, the Times reported that since at least November 2012, the U.S. has  been helping “the Arab governments shop for weapons, including a large  procurement from Croatia, and have vetted rebel commanders and groups to  determine who should receive the weapons as they arrive.”

The earlier Times article described Clinton as having instincts that were  “often more activist than those of a White House that has kept a tight grip on  foreign policy.”

In an administration often faulted for its timidity abroad, “Clinton wanted  to lead from the front, not from behind,” Vali R. Nasr, a former State  Department adviser on Afghanistan and Pakistan, told the Times.

Benghazi cover up?

Middle Eastern security officials speaking to WND have said U.S.-aided  weapons shipments go back more than a year, escalating before the Sept. 11,  2012, attack on the U.S. facilities in Benghazi.

In fact, the Middle Eastern security officials speaking to WND since last  year describe the U.S. mission in Benghazi and nearby CIA annex attacked last  September as an intelligence and planning center for U.S. aid to the rebels in  the Middle East, particularly those fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s  regime.

The aid, the sources stated, included weapons shipments and was being  coordinated with Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Earlier this month, WND  reported Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. stated in interview with Fox News that  murdered U.S Ambassador Christopher Stevens was in Benghazi to keep weapons  caches from falling into the hands of terrorists. Until that point, no official  explanation for Stevens deployment to Libya has acknowledged any such  activity.

Meanwhile, the New York Times reporting on how the plan for arming the rebels  was put into action has prompted major questions about the role Clinton played  in the U.S. response to the Benghazi attacks, assaults against the very  facilities where the arms-to-rebels scheme was allegedly being coordinated.

National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor confirmed to Fox News in  November that Clinton herself worked on the immediate U.S. response to  Benghazi.

“The most senior people in government worked on this issue from the minute it  happened,” he said.

“That includes the secretary of defense, chairman of the Joint Chiefs,  secretary of state, national security adviser, et cetera. Additionally, the  Deputies Committee – the second in command at the relevant national security  agencies – met at least once and more often twice a day to manage the  issue.”

One of the key decisions by Clinton’s State Department that has perplexed  many security experts was the determination not to deploy an interagency rapid  response unit designed to respond to terrorist attacks known as a Foreign  Emergency Support Team, or FEST.

FEST teams previously deployed immediately after al-Qaida bombings of U.S.  embassies in East Africa in 1998 and the USS Cole in 2000. But they were not  used for Benghazi, confounding insiders speaking to the news media

Counterterrorism  officials told Fox News in November that the FEST teams could have helped  the FBI gain access to the site in Benghazi faster. It ultimately took the FBI  24 days.

The site reportedly contained a large volume of classified documents related  to the activities of the Benghazi facilities.

Further, during the night of the attack, top counter terror officials felt  out of the loop, according  to emails shared with both Fox News and CBS News in November.

Counterterrorism sources and internal emails reviewed by CBS News expressed  frustration that key responders were ready to deploy but were not called upon to  help in the attack.

Besides strangely not deploying FEST, the Counterterrorism Security Group, or  CSG, was never asked to meet the night of the attack or in subsequent days,  according to two separate counterterrorism officials, as first reported by CBS  News.

The CSG is composed of experts on terrorism from across government agencies  and makes recommendations to the deputies who assist the president’s Cabinet in  formulating a response to crises involving terrorism.

It is likely that the CSG task force, if contacted, would have recommended  FEST aid, according to CBS.

CBS reported the lack of coordination with the Counterterrorism Security  Group made the response to the Benghazi crisis still more confused.

One official told CBS News the FBI received a call during the attack  representing Clinton and requesting agents be deployed. But he and his  colleagues explained the call was just a gesture and could not be  implemented.

He said his colleagues at the FBI agreed the agents “would not make any  difference without security and other enablers to get them in the country and  synch their efforts with military and diplomatic efforts to maximize their  success.”

Recruiting jihadists

Days after the Benghazi attack, WND  broke the story that Ambassador Stevens himself played a central role in  recruiting jihadists to fight Assad’s regime in Syria, according to Egyptian and  other Middle Eastern security officials.

Stevens served as a key contact with the Saudis to coordinate the recruitment  by Saudi Arabia of Islamic fighters from North Africa and Libya. The jihadists  were sent to Syria via Turkey to attack Assad’s forces, said the security  officials.

The officials said Stevens also worked with the Saudis to send names of  potential jihadi recruits to U.S. security organizations for review. Names found  to be directly involved in previous attacks against the U.S., including in Iraq  and Afghanistan, were ultimately not recruited by the Saudis to fight in Syria,  said the officials.

The latest New York Times report has bolstered WND’s reporting, citing air  traffic data, interviews with officials in several countries and the accounts of  rebel commanders describing how the CIA has been working with Arab governments  and Turkey to sharply increase arms shipments to Syrian rebels in recent  months.

The Times reported that the weapons airlifts began on a small scale in early  2012 and continued intermittently through last fall, expanding into a steady and  much heavier flow late last year, the data shows.

The Times further revealed that from offices at “secret locations,” American  intelligence officers have helped the Arab governments shop for weapons,  including a large procurement from Croatia. They have vetted rebel commanders  and groups to determine who should receive the weapons as they arrive.

The CIA declined to comment to the Times on the shipments or its role in  them.

The Times quoted a former American official as saying that David H. Petraeus,  the CIA director until November, had been instrumental in helping set up an  aviation network to fly in the weapons. The paper said Petraeus had prodded  various countries to work together on the plan.

Petraeus did not return multiple emails from the Times asking for  comment.

Both WND’s reporting, which first revealed the U.S.-coordinated arms  shipments, and the Times reporting starkly contrast with statements from top  U.S. officials who have denied aiding the supply of weapons to the rebels.

Rebel training

It’s not the first time WND’s original investigative reporting on U.S.  support for the Syrian rebels was later confirmed by reporting in major media  outlets. Other WND reporting indicates support for the Syrian rebels that goes  beyond supplying arms, painting a larger picture of U.S. involvement in the  Middle East revolutions.

A story by the German weekly Der Spiegel earlier this month reporting the  U.S. is training Syrian rebels in Jordan was exclusively exposed  by WND 13 months ago.

Quoting what it said were training participants and organizers, Der Spiegel  reported it was not clear whether the Americans worked for private firms or were  with the U.S. Army, but the magazine said some organizers wore uniforms.

The training in Jordan reportedly focused on use of anti-tank weaponry.

The German magazine reported some 200 men received the training over the  previous three months amid U.S. plans to train a total of 1,200 members of the  Free Syrian Army in two camps in the south and the east of Jordan.

Britain’s Guardian newspaper also reported U.S. trainers were aiding Syrian  rebels in Jordan along with British and French instructors.

Reuters reported a spokesman for the U.S. Defense Department declined  immediate comment on the Der Spiegel report. The French foreign ministry and  Britain’s foreign and defense ministries also would not comment to Reuters.

While Der Spiegel quoted sources discussing training of the rebels in Jordan  over the last three months, WND  was first to report the training as far back as February 2012.

At the time, WND quoted knowledgeable Egyptian and Arab security officials  claimed the U.S., Turkey and Jordan were running a training base for the Syrian  rebels in the Jordanian town of Safawi in the country’s northern desert  region.

U.S DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY HAS TOLD BANKS – IN WRITING – IT MAY INSPECT SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES WITHOUT WARRANT AND SIEZE ANY GOLD, SILVER, GUNS OR OTHER VALUABLES IT FINDS INSIDE THOSE BOXES! According to in-house memos now circulating, the DHS has issued orders to banks across America which announce to them that “under the Patriot Act” the DHS has the absolute right to seize, without any warrant whatsoever, any and all customer bank accounts, to make “periodic and unannounced” visits to any bank to open and inspect the contents of “selected safe deposit boxes.” Further, the DHS “shall, at the discretion of the agent supervising the search, remove, photograph or seize as evidence” any of the following items “bar gold, gold coins, firearms of any kind unless manufactured prior to 1878, documents such as passports or foreign bank account records, pornography or any material that, in the opinion of the agent, shall be deemed of to be of a contraband nature.” DHS memos also state that banks are informed that any bank employee, on any level, that releases “improper” “classified DHS Security information” to any member of the public, to include the customers whose boxes have been clandestinely opened and inspected and “any other party, to include members of the media” and further “that the posting of any such information on the internet will be grounds for the immediate termination of the said employee or employees and their prosecution under the Patriot Act.” Safety deposit box holders and depositors are not given advanced notice when failed banks shut their doors. If people have their emergency money in a safe deposit box or an account in a bank that closes, they will not be allowed into the bank to get it out. They can knock on the door and beg to get in but the sheriff’s department or whoever is handling the closure will simply say “no” because they are just following orders. Deposit box and account holders are not warned of the hazards of banking when they sign up. It is not until they need to get their cash or valuables out in a hurry that they find themselves in trouble. Rules governing access to safe deposit boxes and money held in accounts are written into the charter of each bank. The charter is the statement of policy under which the bank is allowed by the government to do business. These rules are subject to change at any time by faceless bureaucrats who are answerable to no one. They can be changed without notice, without the agreement of the people, and against their will. People can complain but no one will care because this is small potatoes compared to the complaints that will be voiced when the executive order that governs national emergencies is enforced. That order allows the suspension of habeas corpus and all rights guaranteed under the Bill of Rights. A look at the fine print of the contract signed when a safety deposit box is opened reveals that in essence the signer has given to the bank whatever property he has put into that deposit box. When times are good people will be allowed open access to their safe deposit box and the property that is in it. This also applies to their bank accounts. But when times get really bad, many may find that the funds they have placed on deposit and the property they thought was secured in the safe deposit box now belong to the bank, not to them. Although this was probably not explained to them when they signed their signature card, this is what they were agreeing to. During the Great Depression in the early 1930’s people thought that many banks were going to fail. They were afraid they would lose their money so they went in mass to take it out, in what is known as a run on the banks. The government closed the banks to protect them from angry depositors who wanted their money back. Throughout history, governments have acted to protect the interests of banks and the wealthy people who own them, not the interests of depositors or box holders. In a time of emergency, people will have no recourse if access to their safe deposit box and bank accounts is denied. If they are keeping money in a bank that would be needed in an emergency or in a time when credit is no longer free flowing, they may not be able to get it out of the bank. The emergency may occur at night or on a weekend or holiday when the bank is closed. The solution is to take emergency cash or valuables out of the safe deposit box or bank account and secure them somewhere else, like in a home safe. An even better idea may be to close the safe deposit box account completely, letting someone else entertain the illusion of safety. Americans have learned a few things since the Great Depression. They now have the FDIC to liquidate any failed banks. The FDIC promises to set up a series of dates and times when safe deposit box renters can access their boxes by appointment to remove their property and surrender their keys. The FDIC also promises to mail bank customers an announcement of the dates for such events and include a question and answer page that addresses safe deposit box access. The people have the FDIC to give them back the money they had on deposit that they were unable to get out of any failed bank that carries FDIC insurance. Sheila Bair, head of the FDIC, promises that depositor`s money will be available in 24 hours or less. But people should remember that the FDIC is just another bureaucracy, and it`s probably best not to rely on a bureaucracy in an emergency.
