CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
DGinElMonte, can you tell us how your gross annual lottery sales compare to winning tickets sold from your store? One of my local lottery retailers no longer sells lottery tickets. He said that even though he was doing 300K in annual lottery sales no one was winning so it wasn't worth it for him to continue.

Either FL Lotto is playing huge game here (or) lot of tickets have been destroyed and lost. I have been in touch with FL Lotto Office in Miami regularly for the last one month and I told the Sales Manger that there are lot of discrepancies between the list of stores they say that they have 200 MS games and the list in reality as I contacted all of them but none of them either received it or activated it. She in turn contacted Sales Rep.s through email and included me in the email. But, there

The secret to winning lottery with Scratch off's
This is not true. While scratch may seem random they are not random at all. Of course you can blow me off and just say whatever, but after spending around 100k last year on lottery tickets and making 40k i can tell you they are not entirely random. Scratchoffs are printed by an algorithm developed with a base set of logic. There are a couple of the rules that I know and rules for each game are different based off the percentage payout of a game. To help draw you a picture of why they are not ran

I meant to write, they may know... I don't know if they do or not, but they do a pretty good job of distributing top prizes relative to sales. Sometimes you see slight unbalances, but for the most part it's right online with sales. By batches, I mean at a very high level in the millions, mainly to protect themselves from getting their clocked cleaned by releasing too many top prizes at the outset of a game resulting in large payoffs with poor sales. For example, they might know a top prize i

No problem, good for you in taking the initiative on the scratch data, hope to see more. One other thing that you can do with a regular pull and a database for scratch tickets sales is look at sales rate. For instance, if a game's top prizes are sold through way ahead of the rest of the game, and it is toward the end of the game, and the sales rate has slowed down, it is likely that no more top prizes are in circulation at all. This is a game to avoid. The rest of the top prizes could be in a

Question about Scartch off's
I'm sorry, but I totally disagree with this person. I cannot believe that people are still this uneducated! If this were the case, all of the big winning tickets would not be stored away in a warehouse waiting for the sales to slack off. When customers quit playing, and the sales slack off, a few more random winners show up. This is how the lottery can assure that they will always have people playing the tickets JUST HOPING for that big winning ticket! The big winning tickets show up when the sa

Hi skeptic, yes I do think this game will see really strong sales! Looking at the ILR data I have to believe the Lotto is expecting good sales too, as to keep odds for lower prize levels in line with the $30 Fl games that have come before this one they'll have to start out with well north of a million books, like probably somewhere in the range of 1.2 to 1.4M. We could some weeks during which several $1M prizes are claimed. Also, unlike typical games where the top prizes get ahead of (or behind)

Question to the masses? Do you think Florida is ever gonna come back with a $25 ticket? Now that they are putting out another $30 scratcher and 100x broke so many sales records when it came out I think that's their new high. I wish the $30 tickets didnt do so well sales wise because other than the lure of 15 million on a jackpot those tickets have been brutal to play and something feels oh so wrong about only getting 3 tickets for 100 bucks. Old $25 100x, Florida cash and Fortune were by far my

Also, the MM and PB jackpots are both currently in the $300M range which has to be cannibalizing sales since the FL Lotto jackpot is in the low single digits.
