Florida Fantasy-5 Players
The amount of a Jackpot prize payout is determined by the amount of ticket sales. Less sales, lower jackpot. The fewer number of hours tickets are on sale guarantees there is no way one of two drawings per day will have the same ticket sales as a once per day drawing. If tickets are available for purchase for 12 hours as opposed to 24, then players can expect half the current amounts to be paid out for each draw. Some players will play twice per day, but the majority will not. To me, that s

I also get the fact that ticket sales for all lottery games is way down these days. You can see the effect of the high cost of groceries and gasoline on lottery ticket sales just by looking at the amount paid out for any FF5 jackpot. Saturday FF5 jackpots are $10 to 15 thousand dollars lower than they were last year. The reason FF5 has as many jackpot winners as it does is because the odds are low. They sell $500,000 to $600,000 worth of FF5 tickets every day. That produces sufficient covera

Interesting how even with a maximum jackpot the current JPT promotion cant drive enough extra ticket sales to produce a jackpot winner. Lottery ticket sales for many games have been down lately. Must be the high cost of everything that's cutting into ticket sales. G5

There was one winner of $161,707 in last nights FF5 drawing. That means yesterday's total take was approximately $528,000. That's for 24 hours of ticket sales, but I think the vast majority of those tickets were sold after 12 noon yesterday. The Florida Lottery probably knows exactly which hours of the day have the most FF5 sales, but I doubt they'd be interested in revealing that information. The winners pool was allocated $264,000 (half of $528,000) of which 62% was allocated to the lo

California Fantasy 5
I find this to be odd with our Fantasy 5 (5/39). Many states begin the prize at $100,000. Doesn't sales support our jackpot starting at $100,000? If not, shouldn't they do a better job at marketing this game? The state of our size should easily match sales of those other states starting (5/39) games at $100,000.

TN lotto 5 on its way to $1million!
Well seeing that 35% of Lotto 5 sales goes to the jackpot (Powerball pays 30% to the jackpot) I would hope it gets that high. I don't want to jinx it, but it might hit $2,000,000 someday. The PA Cash 5 hit $1mil here recently, and not only does that pay 20% of sales to the top prize vs. Lotto 5's 35%, a lot more people play PA Cash 5. I wouldn't even count out $3mil for Lotto 5.

Take5 NY
If anybody was going to hit four numbers in Take5, last nite was the night to do it. $1,031 bucks for 4 numbers. Does anybody know if The NY State Lottery has recently changed the split with regard to how much money is paid out of the total ticket sales pool to T5 winners and how much they keep? (Out of all they money they take in via T5 ticket sales, what percentage is allocated to T5 players with winning tickets and what percentage does the state keep?) Guys, I hate to say it, but I thin
