CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Though the CALottery and GTECH has printed 14 top prizes within 33.6 million tickets (odds of winning top prize being 1 in 2.4 million), there is a possibility that all of these will not be sold depending if there is a continual demand for the game. They release the tickets to retailers in batches (like 2.4 million of those tickets at a time, 80,000 30-pack) where one top prize must be within them, CALottery does not know what ticket number it is and GTECH does not know where the tickets are

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Same here. I have stopped playing almost entirely. When I do play, its $10 and I am done for the week. Anyone know of a website that tracks CA Scratcher daily sales? It can be done by parsing the scratcher stats using HTML DOM parsing and a simple database. It would be interesting to watch scratcher sales throughout its lifetime. Simple graphs could be done too. If it doesn't exist, would anyone be interested in such a tool? I can put something together pretty easily.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I have a gut feeling that Diamond Millionaire won't pay out anymore top prizes. As of today, DM top prizes won is on par with sales. Given its slow sales, I don't think it can support another TP win. Below is a chart I created with $1M Fortune data I pulled from the CA Lottery website today. I thought (for sure! ) that game was going to release at least 1 more top prize win before ending, but it didn't and it was in a better position to do so than Diamond Millionaire. I actually like

Post your scratch ticket results
Absolutley Happens, I notice it in my Area. those that buy frequently see the trend. I can go through 2 Months and nothing and all of a sudden Bam. You can say its luck but I think there is some sort of manipulation in terms of distributing tickets. Total Sales , etc has to do. I am not sure how the Sales are in your part of town but I think that has something to do with it. Lets remebmer that the Lotttery has expert analysts, Mathematicians, Psychologists and whole bunch of experts in other

Florida Raffle Ticket $10 with 7 (700,000) Prizes
The Florida Lottery s Lucky 7 Raffle really made a strong charge on the last day of sales. Of the 1 million tickets available, 961,982 were sold by the time sales cut off at midnight, missing the mark by 38,018. Results should be out about 3 p.m. today. Wishing everyone good luck today.

New Michigan Program
Virginia is trying that now. Turn in $20 of losers for chances at a prize. I think they are doing it to promote more Va. Lottery sales. Not long ago a radio news update said Virginia had slowing sales. I rarely itch, though. Myself I like the number games better. You know? The strange thing about it is that every store I go to has tickets in their trash can next to the lottery stands, people are throwing them away!

Don't you think that 5 dollar scratchoffs should give out 2 & 1 dollars winner tickets..
If they did that, they would have to subtract the prizes from other winning tickets. Look on the back of a scratch off. It says that the total of all winning tickets is x-percent of sales. So, for a hypothetical example, say it is 62% of all sales, and they print $500,000 worth of tickets (and they are assuming that all tickets will be sold) there can not be more than a total of $310,000 in winning tickets. So if they did it the way you describe, there would still only be $310,000 worth of wi

Best State Lottery for Scratchers?
Most of the sales for the various lotteries are done in scratch off sales so it would figure that there is a higher percentage of winners. Most every state lottery has a website and they have a winners circle (people who have won) and or press releases. Here in Maryland someone almost aways wins on a sizable scratch off every other day. While it doesn't bother me that people win it dose bother me that people continue to purchase tickets for the various scratch off's even though the top ti

Free Ticket.
Free ticket games actually help the average lottery player, because of how lottery accounting works. If a game has a 60% payback ratio, (at least in MA) that means 60% of NET sales (total sales minus free bets). So say 10% of the tickets out there win a free bet. This means that the total cash prizes are going to be 60% of 90% of the total face value of all of the tickets in the game, or 54% of the face value for the game. But for the typical lottery player, free bets are as good as cash, since t

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
The books that showed up in new locations were likely from the last batch that left the warehouse. Typically when they are down to 60 or 70 or so they will look at what games they want to close strategically. Say they are wanting to bring out a new 10 dollar game they will target closing or finishing up a 10 dollar game. Hence by most state laws when they have no books to send out from the warehouse they have to by law close the game. So I would say that 80% plus of the tickets that showed up in
