CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I look at something similar. But in order to get a clear picture of how *good* a game is, you need to look at the entire prize structure. I evaluate a game by looking at what I call the Total Return at each prize level, not just for everything combined, which on the $10 LFL game is the same 77.97% as your Initial EV number. The difference is my Total Return does not change with sales and is fixed on the game odds, even across reorders of the game. I also look at the Percent Remaining at each

The importance of backtracking - the lessons I learned.
I used to play Pick 3 lottery for some time but generally with little success (doesn't it sound familiar to most folks?). At first I observed the numbers for a while and then picked a set of my personal favorites. I played them over and over again. But I seldom had any success with them - they did not want to come up, at least not in sequences I used for playing. I also used to play Lotto 649 before and experience from it gave me some insights. Personally I prefer prediction methods based on

Connecticut: 11/1 - 11/30/2010
I could help with that. I have been tweaking the Seventies strategy, and for CT I have followed the past 2 week numbers and have found some interesting stuff. Just add 7 to the first digit and 0 to the last. Repeat this using 71 and 72. Eliminate the middle digit and you should have 3 pairs that could come in within 5 DRAWS not days. Using today for example before midday (I am mad I did not check this). On 11/25 the draw was 446. Adding (using lottery math) the 70, 71, and 72 gives us: 4

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
Jim The sets produced by my system are very distinctive. I also have sent screenshots of the program showing the settings I used to produce the sets. This allows others to run the software and get the exact results that I did. I did not do this for proof but to help people understand how I use the software filters / digit conditional bars. If someone else can set my software using my settings and then produce the same sets that are on the tickets I think this should be enought pro

Statistics question
Before you could calculate the odds of there being 14 winners in any lottery game the number of tickets sold would be necessary. Everybody and their brother doesn't quite cut it. RJOh's figures of x of 7 if 11 of 80 are correct - no missing zeroes. I do my calcs with a spreadsheet. 7 Spot - 11/80BetHitsPossibilitiesOdds - 1:: 31767164001010788972482.94 113186521922.41 26181182155.14 314264266522.27 417290020183.73 510838522930.95 63187899652.31

Odds 101

What Has helped The Most?
Hi Lantern, well, currently i'm working on a systemsanalysis for the software itself, meaning that i'm still investigating the needs the software must have to analyse the past drawings. I don't make software that only just analyses the past draws and make no predictions. It has to make predictions, otherwise i can well so do it all with pen and paper. (like Califdude stated; sometimes its easier and faster to just use pen and paper, or at least, thats what i think he meant...)The information i w

Landmark bill would ban computerized lottery drawings in Delaware
Nothing personal, but you anti-electronic drawing guys and gals are self-deceived. Random number generators do not equal corruption or any intent to pay fewer prizes. Make sure you get your facts straight before you jump on the emotional bandwagon of fear. It's a pretty easy jump; easier than doing a little research and using common sense.First fact: Lotteries across the country, including Delaware, Indiana, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, etc., are paying out a higher percentage of sales in these rece

Megamillions and Powerball Games
Jimbo To make it easy lets say that we have 100 balls of which 75 are red and 25 are blue. Let me see, Hmmmm. I know that 7.5 out of every 10 attempts a red ball will be drawn and 2.5 out of every 10 will be blue. If I pick red then the odds will be 75/100 or 75% that I will match the correct color. The chance of matching both the color and value are 1/100 = 1% If I choose blue then I expect to be correct concerning color 2.5 out of every 10 attemp
