Kentucky store clerks indicted for lottery fraud
Perps exposed by security integrity testing program A grand jury in Louisville, Kentucky, has handed down indictments against four individuals charged with state lottery fraud. One of the four is also charged with providing false information to state lottery investigators. The Kentucky Lottery Corporation's (KLC's) security department launched an Integrity Testing Program in March of this year. The program's goal was to determine if store clerks were following procedures for cashing winnin

Tenn. players picked up on new odds before lottery revealed glitch
You're right, lottoscorp; they're doing some major damage control. I'm afraid most of it is geared toward the fraud issue, though. If fraud is discovered to be the cause behind the glitch in the Tennessee Lottery, the resulting reverberations would cast suspicion on all remaining RNG states, and the players in those states would begin demanding investigations of their own lotteries when their tickets missed by one digit. Whether or not they're run in an honest and forthright manner, s

Computerized drawings are nice ...
If you spend some time researching the News forum, you will see lots of stories dealing with computerized drawing glitches that made combinations of numbers impossible to win. My Favorites page has some of them linked. I did not say it was fraud. That is your word, not mine. I said glitchy . Glitchy is a fact. I cannot prove it's fraud, so I would not say it's fraud.

There is the option of providing scratch tickets online but then the terminal or computer would resemble a slot machine or videa lottery terminal.

The possibilities for fraud in RNG games
It is an irrefutable argument that the POSSIBILITY of fraud exists a lot more in a random number computer draw than in a bunch of ping pong balls bouncing around in a chamber. Both types of draws are overseen by independent auditing companies. The ping pong game has been rigged before, the perpetrators were caught and to this day that particular state's lottery is tainted from that fraud. The question was the POSSIBILITY of doing a fraud. It's a lot easier to have a computer pick the des

OPEC Lottery
Sounds like hoax/ scam. The Illinois lottery home page provides a link to info. about illegal lottery scams: Cross-border fraud is a serious problem and it appears to be growing. For example, consumers in the U.S. and other countries lose billions of dollars each year to telemarketers operating from boiler rooms across the border who pitch bogus products, services and investments. They also lose money to Internet scam artists who operate anonymously from places outside the U.S. The most comm

Four accused in Florida lottery ticket fraud
Stuart Elvia Urieta had heard about scheme in which someone claims to be an undocumented immigrant who needs an American citizen -- and money to cash a winning lottery ticket. So the 13-year Stuart resident was suspicious when a woman asked her for $29,000 to cash a ticket reportedly worth $325 million last weekend.Urieta called authorities, who on Tuesday announced a rare arrest in one of the common lottery frauds. You know you can never find these people because they come and go so quick, said
