Letter sent to 360 elected officials and investigatory agencies regarding fraud within NYS Lottery
This, an other shady practices, is an issue endemic to all state lotteries. While I salute your effort rgse90, I doubt much will come of it. Lotteries, like all other multi-billion-dollar businesses, are very good at wriggling their way out of corruption. Allow me a moment to don my pretend Lottery-Rep cap and provide a fictional, if likely, response: Dear [Senator], The primary initiative of the [insert your favorite state] Lottery is Integrity. While we understand the issue you'

Lottery scammer rigged more drawings than first thought, records show
The computer program that a former lottery security official used to rig drawings worth millions of dollars in Iowa and other states was more expansive than investigators first discovered, court records filed last week show. Eddie Tipton, a former employee of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) in Clive, wrote the code to allow him to predict the randomly drawn numbers of multimillion-dollar jackpots in as many as 17 states and claim the cash prizes. The code remained active and und

Tenn. players picked up on new odds before lottery revealed glitch
Updated! Includes illustrative charts below. Somebody knew. Or somebody caught on. An analysis of 55 million tickets played in the Cash 3 and Cash 4 lottery games shows that in August, more people started playing the numbers most likely to come up. That is the time period when a glitch in a new computerized system of picking numbers prevented duplicating combinations such as 1-1-2 or 3-3-3-3 from being drawn. A Tennessean computer analysis indicates that players either knew or figu

Minnesota woman made $117,000 from illegal lottery she claimed benefitted charity
The problem is proving a fake cancer diagnosis on gofundme. Medical records are protected under the law so it is virtually impossible to prove fraud. The burden of proof is on the person claiming fraud. I was aware of one case where a woman faked cancer and her doctor saw the post and reported the fraud to gofundme. I know of a situation in my sister's neighborhood where a number of people suspect this one woman and her family faked her cancer diagnosis and death. They raised over 200 k. No

Lottery Ethics
Did you ever hear about this: Hot Lotto fraud scandal The Hot Lotto fraud scandal broke in 2017, after Eddie Raymond Tipton, the former information security director of the Multi-State Lottery Association, confessed to rigging a random number generator that he and two others used in multiple cases of fraud against state lotteries. Tipton was first convicted in October 2015 of rigging a $14.3 million drawing of MUSL's lottery game Hot Lotto. Eddie Tipton ultimately confessed to riggin

A call to boycott Mega Millions loto game.
So, they're smart enough to come up with this ingenuous system of fraud, but not smart enough to only have the numbers hit when the jackpots are huge, not smart enough to ensure the wins are distributed equally among the states to avoid the accusation of fraud/unfairness, not smart enough to have the jackpots hit the sweet spot to ensure that their sales goals are met. Always makes one wonder why they'd go to the bother of committing such a fraud just to fail on so many levels. Oh right...becaus

British Columbia Lottery taking bets on US election
It is wrong for anyone to commit voter fraud..for Trump or Hillary. To keep this on a level of integrity, which will be difficult, no fraudulent vote should be counted whether by a white Trump supporter or any voter who has failed to take the steps necessary to secure a valid registration. Fraud is fraud, it hurts us all and is wrong no matter who does it.
