If anybody was going to hit four numbers in Take5, last nite was the night to do it. $1,031 bucks for 4 numbers. Does anybody know if The NY State Lottery has recently changed the split with regard to how much money is paid out of the total ticket sales pool to T5 winners and how much they keep? i ve heard that before but i dont think it has something to do with that..for what i remember from my civics and history classes the little that i can remember a commonwealth is a particular political structure of government...I think other states can pull it off...I knew the state was a commonwealth but i really dont think that influences...Unless you was telling me that VA lottery doesnt take 50% of every dollar but 20% or something like that and i still dont think thats the case...And even if

I agree with you, however... taxes fund the government that protects and enables the life you live right now. If we don't pay our government then (insert rival nation here) would march right in here and take your freedom, instead of just a few dollars that were not in your pocket in the first place. :D

I believe all lotto winnings should be tax free. Remember, the government gets 50% of all wagers before the draw. Then they tax the winner to get even more. They should be satisfied with the first 50%.

Ohioan have bought tickets for the Canadian lottery through the mail and that is illegal, that's is a federal law. A couple featured on Columbus 10TV news claimed to have done that and won a jackpot but I never heard if the state or federal government ever filed charges or if they changed their story to traveling to Canada to buy the tickets. I'm sure they paid state and federal taxes regardless.

They are picked and chosen by those who run the department and those who receive orders and instructions to run the machines. Thanks for answering, thought maybe folks weren't sure what I was talking about. Lots of views but no insights. I hit 4 of 5 tonight and was off by one on the last. I just thought Knowing that with those combos you would automatically have 2 numbers off the bat correct (80-90%) of the time, people would be more intrigued to think about it and come up with some solutions.
