Maritime's hit with first major snowstorm!

We had our first major snowstorm here, we have been walloped by snow , hail pellet's and heavy rain.. There is flooding in different area's about town.

Received over 30 cms of snowfall.. And the wind and bitter cold that come's with it..

As I looked out the window, I pity animal's that are placed outside in the condition's..

Well, I am thinking also of my American friend's that are experiencing snowstorm's, wherever you reside..

Had the german shepherd euthanized at the vet hospital earlier

A german shepherd senior dog that I inherited  from a neighbour., became too ill I had to have him put down- euthanized earlier tonight- at the veterinary hospital- on this snowy night!

He was 12 year's old and his name was Max. And he developed hip, spine and leg problem's over time, where he couldn't walk properly anymore.. So I made the decision to help him to not be in pain any longer.

Max was a good dog and lively, but his body wouldn't support him any longer. So I sadly, said good bye.

I know that Max is better off, and with his creator- God and much happier.

How do you learn poker?

I have wanted to learn the game of poker, but do not want to go to a casino to learn right now.

I think it would be an interesting game of chance to learn; and profitable if a person succeed's at it.

I was watching Steve Harvey's show on television today, and these two young girl's , less than 12 year's old, I believe are child prodigy's and know the game well.

So I figured if children can learn poker, I as an adult should be able to figure it out i hope..

Life is a dance, you learn as you go!

I heard this song, year's ago, by a country star, and agree with it so much.

Life is a dance, you learn as you go. Sometime's you lead, sometime's you follow. Doesn't matter what you don't know.

Life is a dance. You learn as you go..

Viewing the Government shutdown on television"

I watched on television about the government shutdown going on in the United States;

Reporter's were interviewing people that had lost their job's due to it, and they were commenting how they never thought they'd have to visit a food bank, to get food and now they are sadly doing it."

My thought's go out to everybody affected by it, and we in Canada are concerned about what is manifesting with the govenment there; as it could happen, here as well..Sad Wavey

A Missed opportunity- stupid me!

I was at the Salvation army store today- they have great sale's; the clothing there is really nice and other product's are great..

I was standing in line at the counter and turned my attention away to look at some sunglass's that were in another direction, the guy that would of been next to me at the counter, told the sale's clerk- before he left; that he was travelling to LA, California.. I missed an opportunity to speak with the young man; I walked to talk about, LA, since that is one of my goal's to go there;

I was kicking myself since then- stupid me, for missing the opportunity to talk to another person; about one of my aspiration's that I want to accomplish this year..

After being at Sea..

After being at sea in the Persian Gulf for 90 day's straight, the man went to the squadron  command master chief to complain. "Chief, I joined the Navy to see the world," he said, " but for the past 3 month's all I've seen is water."

Lieutenant, " he replied, " three quarter's of the earth is covered with water, and the Navy has been showing you that. If you want to see the other quarter, you should have joined the Army."

When the people were looking to buy property

When the people were looking to buy property, an overzealous realtor showed them what can only be described as a totally worn- out old farm. I mean the land had been worked to death.

The weeds on the property were hardly ever growing. The smiling super salesman said, "Now really, all this land needs is a little water, a nice cool breeze, and some good people." The person agreed, "Yeah, I agree,. But couldn't the same be said for hell?'

I think the weather is going crazy!

One day warm, the next the wind pick's up and there is a feeling of rain in the air.'Also we had the effect's of hurricane Manuel over a week ago; it started out in Mexico according to the weather channel and travelled into Canada;

I feel another storm out there; topsy, turvy weather, and it play's by it's own rules, till it travel's to other region's..

Canada's lotto 649 is going up to $3.00 in price!

I have obtained a paper advertising the new format for the lotto 649 and atlantic 49, for the draw's starting September 15th, 2013..

In addition to what we are used to seeing on the ticket; we will now see an automatically generated GUARANTEED PRIZE DRAW selection per play.

After the draw, people simply need to check their ticket as usual to see if they are the new millionaire!

Resisting the urge to look at the lotto 649 and bucko ticket's for tonight's draw-

Well I am attempting to hold back and not look at the ticket's that I purchased for tonight's draw's; I did sign the ticket's though, but did not glance at the number's and scrutinize them like I usually do..

The lotto 649 and bucko are good game's, and I regularly give myself a hard time, about whether I am playing the right number's or not..

But I will let fate guide me, and just go with it.. They are insta pick's, not my own numbers, and I will be satisfied with them, right now!

As well I like to play my own- number's, but will not for tonight's draw..

I'm only human!

Well yesterday I was looking in the refrigerator where I had placed a chocolate bar-a Caramilk bar by the way-. Which is one of the best bar's in the world!

For-myself, and it was missing; I was pretty miffed, my nephew- a grown adult, had taken it without asking me.

I confronted him last night, after noticing it gone; and he replies that he was having some type of reaction and needed a bar, I told him that he should not have not taken it without asking first. I would have given him some of the bar- if he had only asked..

Today, I mentioned to him that that bar was in my space where I put it, and you don't touch other people's property. I threw a plastic measuring cup over by his head- he thought that it would hit him and hurt him.. A wake up call for him!"

He made me feel guilty for even confronting him over the chocolate bar..   But I

just let him know that when you are sharing a house with someone else, and you are not feeling well for some apparent reason- don't take somebody else's food- ask them first if you can have it..

That is my rant for today..

Has anybody else had trust issue's in their house, where another person take's something- no matter what it is that belong's to you, and how did, or do you deal with it?

Went to the brunch at St Vincent earlier this morning!

So I got up earlier this morning and knew there was a good brunch happening at St Vincent, so I took the dog for a walk first- I have a german shepherd, and then walked up the road to the church- it is quite a long way, since I had to give up my car last year; couldn't afford the repair's, plus insurance and everything else;

Well the brunch was so worth it, the food was great- we had scrambled eggs, toast, sausage's, and hash brown's, also pancakes for anybody that wanted them, plus drink's of orange or apple juice; tea and coffee.

I decided to have some juice and then tea.

There was a good turn out for the meal, with church member's arriving- to sit down and eat. I saw alot of people that I knew;..

Then I left and walked back the distance to the house.

That was my excitement this morning;

Thinking of my friend's today!

I am thinking of you today and wanting to share this article  from the newspaper:

The Sydney airport in Cape Breton,has sent out late summer notice's to passenger's departing from the Sydney J.A. Douglas McCurdy Airport to arrive at least 90 minutes before a flight's departure time.

There are three early morning- flight's on Air Canada and Westjet at 5:30 a.m.; 6:20 a.m; and 6:30 a.m and the large traffic volumes have led to two flight delay's this month.

The Sydney Airport Authority CEO  said a gentle reminder was warranted to passenger's to arrive early to avoid being stuck in a long lineup while checking luggage and waiting to clear security.
