Yes, the chance of a winner depends on ticket sales. Ticket sales, in turn, are closely related to the jackpot size.

496,900 at 8:00 AM Sunday. With four more sales days (Sun. thru Wed.) a daily sales average of around 63,000 is needed for a sellout. I expect a lot of last-minute sales on the 30th. Personally, I'm planning on buying one ticket per day.

Tickets were in the 89,000 range a little before 8:00 this A.M. Realtorjim said they were in the 79,000 range on Thursday, and since terminal games aren't sold before 6:00 A.M., I'm guessing that Friday saw around 10,000 in sales, the biggest sales day yet.
