$1.35 BILLION: Mega Millions jackpot set to deliver unimaginable wealth
Don't hold your breath waiting for a bump later in the day. The worksheet for this one said the supported jackpot was 1.364 billion, but the worksheet for the next drawing shows it coming up about short of the advertised value, at 1.344 billion. Despite the apparently lower sales some miracle has bumped the cash value up to 724.6 million, which, through some other miracle, has resulted in the new cash:annuity ratio producing the same 1.35 billion advertised jackpot. If it rolls they'll annou

Why are lump sum jackpot payouts shrinking?
One observation I have noticed with Powerball, is the overall weekly increase with rollovers is the same with the 3rd drawing added in. The increase in jackpot from Saturday to Monday is always a good bit less than the increase from Wednesday to Saturday. Adding, in the 3rd drawing was just a cash grab to increase revenues without actually increasing the jackpot over a weekly time period. So even though you have more drawings, it does not correspond to a higher jackpot relative to the two drawin

State-by-State Comparison: Scratchers Sales vs PB/MM Sales
Because draw games are much simpler which makes tampering more obvious. And since the data show draw game sales are dwarfed by that of scratchers, it's not worth it. Scratchers are like a black box and they are a more complicated product. States run dozens of different scratchers series at a time, each series has a dozen or more prize levels. It is much more difficult to see distribution manipulation under those circumstances. And since they dominate sales, it is definitely worth the lottery'

How long would it take you to blow through a Mega Jackpot?
Nope, I am looking at the search and don't believe it. the reason is I can see through it. As my gpa used to say to me, Do you believe everything you hear or people tell you? The guy that died a while back from Florida is the best sales man for the lottery. I enjoyed listening to him but it's a sales pitch. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dumbest+lottery+winners

Montana Lottery celebrates 35th anniversary
The Montana Lottery has generated $302 million to benefit the State of Montana since its inception in 1987, paying out more than $774 million in prizes to winners. On average, the Lottery has paid out $62,369 every single day to winners. But the Montana Lottery almost never happened. The idea of starting a lottery in Montana was the brain child of longtime Butte state Rep. Bob Pavlovich. Pavlovich and Butte Sen. Lawrence Stimatz sponsored a bill in the 1985 Montana Legislature to cre

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
Again no jackpot winner in JPT last night! Cant believe there aren't enough combo's being sold so as to provide enough coverage to produce a winner. Even with that JPT promotion to win an instant ten bucks and still no winner of the 2 million?? I was sure that somebody would have won it by now FF5 had two winners last night and combined the jackpot was just under 200K. Lately total Saturday jackpot amounts are a little over 200K. Ticket sales have to be down. Saturdays used to produce 210 to

Could all lottery drawings be fixed?
There IS a reason for the saying the house always wins . It's that thing called ODDS. Especially jackpot games. Lotteries make money from ticket sales. Therefore they like and want winners....it's good for ticket sales.

Could all lottery drawings be fixed?
It should be obvious it's possible to rig a drawing, but is the risk of getting caught worth losing multi-billions in yearly sales? Nick Perry was caught fixing a PA pick-3 drawing, the results benefited the players and not the lottery. And he was caught because some of the players were in on the fix collected from the illegal lottery. No doubt they have a tape with all possible outcomes but to prove they are cheating, you'll need to look at the prize payoff to sales ratio. If the ratio o

$975 MILLION: Massive Powerball jackpot increases again
Easter sales dip might be holding it back By Todd Northrop The near-billion-dollar Powerball jackpot grew again last night, but perhaps not as much as it would have if this weren't Easter weekend. The latest increase of the current lengthy Powerball jackpot run comes after nobody won last night's drawing, sending the Monday jackpot ever closer to heights that once seemed unattainable for a lottery game. Monday's Powerball jackpot is currently estimated at $975 million, with a lu
