Megamillions 4 out of last 9 drawings won already
That's how random probability works. 8 jackpots have been won since 2/1/22 for a total of about $3.44 billion, and an average of about $430 million. 2 of the jackpots were over $1.3 billion and took much longer than usual to be hit, and 3 were hit much sooner than is typical, for $31 million or less. I'm not going to bother figuring out the actual total cash value, but at 52% it would be $1.789 billion, and based on the percentage of sales that goes towards the jackpot that required sales of

There doesn't seem to be a huge frenzy for the 1.1 Billion Megamillions prize. :/
After unprecedented lottery interest, Minnesota s sales verification system caused a processing delay, a statement on the Minnesota Lottery website reads. The delay was necessary to confirm the Powerball drawing could be conducted securely and accurately. At no time was the integrity of the process compromised. NYP I wouldn't cause a delay of a few hours a fiasco. The jackpot went up $150 million and half new ticket sales go to increasing the jackpot. So $300 million t

$940 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot ready to make another billionaire

The same thing has happened several times recently. They make a sales forecast, advertise a cash value and an annuity based on the cash value and annuity factor, and then a bit later they post a different annuity factor with a new cash value t

$940 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot ready to make another billionaire
If the tickets still cost $1, sales would be around 144 million tickets and below 50%.

Maryland Lottery to switch to computerized drawings
Most lotteries will say they do ask the players by looking at sales figures. In Maryland about 26% of the total sales are pick 3, 4, and 5 games. The next question should be of those over 26% buying tickets, how many watch the live drawings. Not making excuses for computer RNG drawings but there are lots of other places to get results without watching the live drawings. A even though some states show animated cartoonish drawings, at the end of the day, we can't watch the actual computer RNG

Maryland Lottery to switch to computerized drawings
Something that we'll never see in the lottery---transparency. Would be interested to see how much sales went down with RNG.

Powerball requires all 48 participating lotteries to submit their sales and play data prior to the winning numbers being selected. Once Powerball receives the outstanding submission, the drawing can proceed. Really?
