Luck Or System
Either way. Pick 3 doesn't have astronomical odds to where one should feel they can't win eventually with a qp(luck). A system will help u calculate better. Depends what system use it and how you use it could be based on common knowledge, overdue digits, or math. It's the individual players choice.

Ideas or studies on prediction systems?
You can calculate the odds for hitting 4/4 key numbers in pick 5, 6 or higher. This is a wheel, not a prediction system.

Florida: 7/1 - 7/31/2015
I'll tell you that the lotteries calculate the odds of each game to be sure they're profitable, but I'm not saying that they rig the drawings. I'm saying they don't need to rig the drawings, because the games are structured in such a way that they will be profitable for the state. That's the price we all pay to ensure that the lottery continues to exist. If they lost money, they would not stay in business.

I need help calculating my odds
No it's not a typo. When you calculate the odds there are 258,890,850 possible combinations and 12,103,014 combinations of 0+1 which is 12,103,014/258,890,850 = 1/21

Do Lottery Software program help YOU WIN lottery?
There's nothing magic about software, a player has to have a strategy for improving his odds of winning before he or anyone else can write software that helps. Software can't do the thinking, the player has to do that and use software to instruct the computer to do things it does faster and more accurate than he can. If a player can record and calculate faster than a computer then he doesn't need any software or a computer.

New pick 7 daily game in Texas
So how do you calculate your true odds when they are doing a 55/10/7? I know that 55/10 = 29,248,649,430 to 1 and 10/7 = 120 to 1. So what formula do you use for 55/10/7?

Odds for Calif scratcher Power 77 (#732)?
I believe I know how to calculate the odds for the Calif scratcher Power 77 (#732). But I am surprised by my conclusions. I would appreciate it another person skilled in lottery math would double-check my work. I would like to include a pointer to the Calif Lottery webpage for that scratcher, but I am not sure if this forum's rules permit it. For now, I will summarize the relevant information. This is a match key number game with 5 chances to match a winning number. Prizes include a ticket

Odds on Odds
If you calculate the distance from New York to California in inches you get an equivalent of MM/PB Jackpot Lottery odds: 175,000,000 to 1. At every inch is a lottery ticket with a different number on it. You have to pick the inch where the lucky ticket is located. Don't forget to pay the Toll Master $1.00 (MM) or $2.00 (PB) for every pick.

Trying to calculate the number of combinations with criteria
How do you calculate the odds if for the 3 balls, you select from numbers 1-45, and for the last 3 you select from 1-15? You don't know whether the first 3 numbers you select contains a number from 1-15.
