New multi-state lottery game launches Sunday
I would be surprised if the website of states offering this game doesn't put up some guesstimations of those odds. Surely they wouldn't expect their average players to calculate those odds on their own.

I like my way of thinking and the odds I calculate. When you buy your tickets one of two things will happen. You will win or lose so I have a 50/50% odds.

The odds for that game are 1 in 41,391,714 so I would say pretty normal if sales per draw are low. I have seen jackpots with lower odds go without a winner longer (i.e. Ohio Classic). Would really need the sales figures to calculate significance

I think he is trying to calculate the 44 combinatins in relation to the remaining 13,983,772 combinations, any one of which having BETTER ODDS of hitting.

How would that formula work with a game like MegaMillions where the overall odds of winning a prize are 1:39.8? Could that formula be used to calculate if the real odds of winning a prize are different than those posted on the play slips and at the MM website?
