Lotto Strategy - Odds of winning vs Chances of winning
p(all cases) = 1 Odds and chances is the same. If you throw a dice and you are looking for the probability of throwing a 4 or 5 or 6, you get 3 in 6. p(4|5|6) = 0.5 or 1:2, but it truly is 3:6 in one roll. You have odds for outcome, and you might calculate odds of winning a certain amount of money. Winning a certain amount of money is an estimation because the payout can vary and there are taxes. As we are players and programmers, we look for making winning predictions, this me

Calculate odds for random picking
Hello, I realize that the following scenario might sound strange but if someone has the answer it would be great. The scenario is as follows: 1. I choose the 100 latest draws from my lottery which already won the jackpot. 2. I pick 6 random draws from those 100 3. Each of these 6 draws contains one or more numbers, of the winning numbers of the next draw. 4. All 6 draws, have all the numbers of the next winning draw. What I mean is that if I choose 6 draws and all 6 draws hav

Are the following odds correct?
If you were playing a 5/16 game then everything you said would be true but chances are you're playing a 5/39 game so you have to figure all 39 numbers when you calculate odds. If you have all 5 winning numbers in your 16 number pool then it makes no difference. A 5/39 game have 575,757 possible combinations and with a 5/16 wheel you're covering 4,368 of those combinations and hoping one or more of them will have 3 or more of the winning numbers. Also you odds of have all 5 winning numbers in

Matrix change: Powerball to get much harder to win?
Why don't both MM and PB just change their matrix to 8 white balls out of 1-100, plus 1 bonus and 1 super bonus red/gold out of 1-80???? That would effectively drive odds through the stratosphere having the highest jackpots on the face of the earth then anyone who can't count or calculate odds can be happy. Best solution to driving lottery jackpots higher, more money in coffers, is to remove all income tax liabilities from lottery winnings.

Open Discussion: Define/Refine Prediction
There is a never-ending supply of info on how to calculate odds, probabilities, wheels, filters etc.. but is there a specific, well-defined process or algorithm for prediction itself? If there is, I can't find one... perhaps as a group we can figure this out...What are the tools? What's the math? where to begin?I think that the best way to start is to have a clearly defined understanding of the pick 3 problem ...the way I see it...1. overall odds are 1000:1 but each ball drawn is an isolated dv

NY Dream Team 2023
this repeat pairs thing is such hot garbage. Why do I even bother with what is statistically so overdue? They just spam the same sh#t nonstop 3 of the last 5 draws 39 pair hit. At least my 704 seems even better on paper now, but I can't play much longer without a win very very soon Fair game thanks NYL. So now 8 hasn't hit last 14 draws a full week and 7 in a week and a half. Wtf is this bs? The odds of this happening have to be 1 out of a million but not with good ole NYL I wi

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
There is no such thing as Canadian math. Of course, you already know that. You are just sticking to your plan of insulting people you do not agree with. When you wrote: But I really don't know f he doesn't understand or doesn't want to understand. , you are also referring to Todd since Todd and I agree 100% on how to calculate odds of winning the jackpot when multiple different tickets are bought. The English language appears to be a big barrier in gaining an understanding. Some have
